比較自治政體的八卦，Yahoo名人娛樂都在討論

【#從世界思考香港前途】東大嶼填海計劃，引發港人擔心儲備散盡，令我想起諾福克島失去自治的故事。

諾福克島原是澳洲的自治政體，享有民主政府議會、廣泛政策自主權、以至獨立出入境管制和居留權制度，可謂非常之「一國兩制」。一直以來，民主澳洲一直不乏聲音，認為應該加強介入管理福克島、甚至同化諾福克島人，只是一直苦無藉口。結果，2008年金融海嘯後，以往自給自足的諾福克島，經濟一落千丈，政府財政崩潰，只能依賴澳洲聯邦政府之財政補助渡日。結果民主澳洲就以財政危機為突破口，聲言諾福克島人無力自治；澳洲國會最終於2015 年強行通過《諾福克島立法修正法案》，廢除諾福克島自治議會，並將諾福克島之地位，降格為新南威爾士州轄下的一個地方委員會。

自治從來不止是選舉，財政自主是香港自英治時代以來，一直得以保持自主性的重要基石。香港人，必須謹記諾福克島失去自治的故事。

【#香港研究HKStudies】我的學術夢想，是為香港在比較政治文獻，找到一個位置。去年，幸運地拿到研資局「人文學及社會科學傑出學者計劃」的百萬元撥款，可以起動這個研究網絡；更幸運是找到《Nations & Nationalism》的編輯一條敦子教授跟我拍檔，還有16名來自各地自治政體的學者加入研究團隊。
稍後我們會建立全球首個比較自治政體數據集，也會編撰《羅德里奇 比較自治政體手冊》。有興趣的學術朋友可以留下你的電郵，我再想想如何讓更多人一起參與這個研究網絡。我會將香港建成比較自治政體的研究根據地！

My academic dream is to secure a place for Hong Kong in comparative political literature. Last year I was lucky to get a million grant from the RGC "Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme" to kick-start this research network. Even more fortunately, I have "Nations & Nationalism" Editor Prof. Atsuko Ichijo to partner with me and 16 scholars from worldwide autonomies to join the research team.
We are going to compile a comparative autonomies database and edit the "Routledge Handbook of Comparative Territorial Autonomies". For those scholar friends who are interested in this field, please leave your email and I will think about how to engage more people in this research network. I will make Hong Kong a research hub for comparative autonomies studies!

【#香港研究HKStudies】如何把香港研究推向世界？幾年前讀文獻時，發現憲法學者廣泛研究「自治政體」，但這個概念卻很少政治學者研究，一直在想這應該是把香港放在比較政治脈絡的方向。埋首耕耘了幾年，幸運地得到羅德里奇出版社的支持，將開展《羅德里奇 比較自治政體手冊》的大型出版項目。除了這本重量級著作，還有更爆的相關項目稍後再公布。我的目標，就是令香港成為比較自治政體的研究根據地。
