「#阿札爾部長 這趟出訪只有一個目的，就是要與台灣政府在全球的重要議題上進行合作，確保各界能了解 #武漢病毒 (Wuhan virus) 的威脅，以及台灣是如何成功在自己『國家』內，處理這個議題。」
「我一直感到很意外，為什麼美國指派衛生部長到另一個『國家』，會有人覺得被威脅？... 因為這樣一次出訪就感到威脅，我想這充分說明了中共的脆弱。」

#US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently referred to #Taiwan as "a country" in an interview with Sean Spicer of Newsmax TV’s Spicer & Co. He also expressed his surprise at the idea that anyone would find Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar's visit to Taiwan threatening:
So Secretary Azar is there for the singular purpose of working with the Taiwanese Government on something that’s important to everyone in the world – making sure we come to understand this Wuhan virus, to make sure we understand the threat, to make sure we know how Taiwan so successfully dealt with this issue in their own country. [...]
I’m always surprised that when the United States sends its health minister to another country why anyone would find that so threatening. [...] I think that tells you a lot about the weakness of the Chinese Communist Party and the fact that it could feel threatened from such a visit.
