Another day, another #DrivingLicense agreement signed!
MOFA Vice Minister Miguel Tsao presided over the signing of an agreement on the mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses between #Israel and #Taiwan. The agreement, which was signed by Representative Paul Chang, head of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Tel Aviv, and Representative Mr. Omer Caspi of the Israel Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, will go into effect on September 15, which means that Israelis in Taiwan and Taiwanese nationals in Israel can apply to exchange their driving license for a local license without taking a test. Time to hit the road!
Our friendship with Israel has been going from strength to strength over recent years, with 20% growth in visitors between our two countries last year alone, as well as exchange in the #economic, #technology, #medicine and #tourism sectors. No wonder that this is the second agreement we’ve signed with the country since the Implementing Arrangement on Education, Youth and Sports Cooperation in June! Israel is the 6th country in the Africa and West Asia region to agree to such a program, after #Jordan, #Bahrain, #Eswatini, #SouthAfrica (9 provinces) and #SaudiArabia.
