Today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. I want to thank you all for being with me on this journey in Silicon Valley!
Like you all, some of my days are sunny and some of them are rainy. From time to time, I argue with coworkers, my cat messes up my apartment, and homeless in San Francisco yelled at me for no reasons etc. Lots of negative things but because you, my life is filled in with more positive energy!
Writing prevent me from feeling lonely. I am a super extravert – I love being with people. I think of you all when I write, and that made me feel surrounded and happy.
Answering your questions inspired me to be positive. Many of you wrote me email or FB message. You have dreams but don’t know how to achieve; you know you have potential but don’t know how utilize it better; you want to make a change but you are afraid of failure. Listening to your dreams and passion, I was always inspired and excited for you. I also unintentionally became more positive when I encouraged you (I guess is human nature that we won’t say, “my day also sucks and let’s cry together”; instead, we became stronger when we want other people feel better! lol)
Finally, of course, your reaction to my articles motivated me. Sometimes I wonder if anyone really read my writing? Is my article helps people in any way? When I posted and only response was my mom saying “hey, is late! Why aren’t you sleeping!?” I worried if my posting was useless and wasting people’s time. But most of time, the next day when I see your response, I was motivated again!
I want to thank lots of people at Thanksgiving. Thank you all for being with me on this journey achieving my dream in the Valley.
If you also want to try the culture Americans do in Thanksgiving, you can show appreciate to people. Happy Turkey Day! (btw, you know how Chinese/Taiwanese spend Thanksgiving in the U.S.? Yes, some of us eat turkey just like Americans, and some of us eat Peking Duck or Scallion Chicken because is similar and more delicious, in our POV!) lol
