Went back here for a lovely bowl of 汕頭豬什粿汁 Pig Innards Kway Chap. This is the only shop which does this Authentic Chiu Chow recipe right in HK. The 粿片 noodles are the diamond shaped dried type, and the base Sticky Rice liquid is almost like a morning porridge, topped with Lo Shui braising liquid and fried Dark Garlic. This recipe used to be popular but even all Chiu Chow shops in Kowloon City cut it off the menu as it is labor intensive to dry the triangular/diamond shaped noodles, although the Thai versions are different but good too! 【好蔡館, 太子 Prince Edward, HK】

Surprised to see Traditional Chaoshan Kway Chap 潮汕豬什粿汁 back on the Menu here $38! 【汕頭澄海老四 - 外賣店, Kowloon City, HK】They haven’t sold this recipe here for at least a decade, upon asking the Staff they said they just brought it back recently! So apart from #好蔡館 in Prince Edward, which makes the version with Pigs Blood & a mixture of Congee base with Masterstock and Triangular Kway Chap Noodles (long Rectangular ones are modernized versions), here it is slightly soupier. Super exciting news for Kowloon City residents!

*There are also another 2 Chiu Chow shops which sells Kway Chap but they are not the right recipes or noodles, also some Thai Shops also sell a Thai/Chiu Chow version, similar enough but different 😋 #KwayChap
