I still remember she said during a talk in KGPA early this year co-organized by MRM & Darul Fitrah,

"The more you study about science, the more you realize the greatness of the Creator."

Prof Jackie Ying embraced Islam at her 30s. Smart people choose Islam after extensive research on religion but in the meantime some people who just read some online articles rejected Islam & claim Muslim are backward.

Also in the same time, some self-claimed smart & modern Muslim reject Hijab in the name of liberal whereas Prof Jackie Ying who I believed smarter than them choose the opposite. :)

I got my good friend, and co-host of our (soon-to-launch) podcast series, The Woman Up Podcast, to have a quick chat with me about what it's like being the eldest sister - a role that is often "overlooked" and "unappreciated". :P

Eid Mubarak! I decided to sit down, put some makeup on and share with you guys my experience of celebrating Eid this year during Singapore's Circuit Breaker*.

Because we are still in our Circuit Breaker period during Eid, a lot of things were done differently. We were told to recite the takbir, do Eid prayers and listen to the Eid sermon at home. We are also not allowed to visit friends and family, which is something very common to do in Singapore during Eid.

It's a long video, but watch on to find out my thoughts on this whole experience . I hope you all had a meaningful Ramadhan and Eid with your families even though things are different this time round.

*The Circuit Breaker protocol is Singapore's version of a 'lockdown' whereby everyone is told to stay strictly at home unless they
are part of essential services or to get daily essentials (going to the supermarket).
