The enormous 95-metre tall Tawai waterfall can be found deep in the Heart of Sabah - located inside the Tawai Forest Reserve in the district of Telupid. To enter, one must apply for a permit from the Sabah Forestry Department Headquarters.
A journey of 4 hours is needed to reach this hidden gem from Kota Kinabalu, and is only accessible using a four-wheel drive.
