"Let's have a picnic!"

It's easy for the elder ones to feel neglected or left out when a baby comes along. Thus, although it is really hard to take time off from looking after a newborn, it's something I feel I have to do once in a while and it's best done when the baby is sleeping.

I decided to spring a surprise on the kids last week and while they were taking their naps, I secretly set up this picnic corner in our balcony, woohoo!

The kids were elated when they saw it and immediately asked if we were having a picnic and if it meant they didn't need to sit at the dining table for once, haha. They couldn't wait to start tucking in and found yet another surprise.

Thanks to @pezzopizzasg, we tried out the newly launched kid's meal which includes a slice of Cheesy Cheese Pizza, a packet of Milo, a balloon headband and a mystery toy - all contained in a fun box which also has colouring and maze activities. The kids loved it!

Just in case they were still hungry, I also added some cookies, cupcakes, swiss rolls, nuggets, apples and corn. That is quite a good spread, right? When the baby woke, I left them there to continue and three of them chatted till the sun set. The big girl came up to tell me afterwards "I enjoyed that very much, thank you Mama." Awwww. Thank you for appreciating such simple gestures.

Hope the three of you know how much I love you and thank you for being such good helpers and stepping up to help look after Xiaodi. Love all of ya! ❤
