Painting a whole kitchen can take several days so budget as much time as possible. I spent three and a half days, sanding and painting the whole kitchen. I used a sander 180 grit sandpaper, 5mm nap roller and a brush to do the project. I used the "White Knight" primer and white laminated paint.
Step 1
Take off all the cabinet doors and sand all surfaces that needed to be painted with the sander.
Step 2
Thoroughly wipe down all the surfaces before painting them with one layer of primer. Use brush and 5mm nap roller to do the job. Elevate the cabinet doors on screws or nails so you can save time and paint on both sides at the same time.
Step 3
Wait for the primer to dry for the suggested time before lightly sand and paint on the laminated paint. (White Knight range suggests 4 hours before primer can be painted on).
Step 4
Apply 2 layers of laminated paint.
Step 5
Wait as long as you can for the paint to cure ( we waited around 24 hours) before trying reinstalling the cabinet doors on.
Enjoy your newly painted kitchen!
