You can be cool but you will never be USK Coffee in Ogasawara cool.

This coffee joint serves native Bonin Island coffee (Bonin is the English name of Ogasawara) and the boss Yusuke-san has a coffee farm on site. He grows the beans himself, roasts them himself and brews them himself.

The Airstream was painstakingly restored and serves as his shop.

After a day of hiking, this was a welcome destination.

It is one of the coolest, most authentic coffee places I have ever had coffee at. And you can sit here all day, sipping your Bonin coffee, enjoying the greenery and the chickens roaming the yard.

It's quite an experience you don't get elsewhere. Darn it, I wish I had more days on the islands so I can chill out for hours daily here.

Leaving Tokyo for Ogasawara (island) by ferry. It will take me 24 hours to get there, as it is 1000km away. No internet for 24 hours at sea. I hope I survive.
