Schools are closing due to the high IPU readings. We’ve reached ‘203’ (extremely unhealthy level 203-300) here in KL. What I hope is that Colleges and Universities authorities also recognize the fact that even students there are at risk. It makes no sense to close down schools but keep colleges and universities open. It’s an open area. They are as capable of facing health difficulties as the others in schools are.
More than education, our priority MUST always be HEALTH. Whether it’s physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually, HEALTH should be above and beyond all materialistic needs. We must ensure we look after ourselves and each other as much as we can in our power.
I hope that the authorities in charge are able to exercise the right decision for the wellbeing of all.
I wish I could also help the employees (construction workers, traffic polices, road workers) who work outdoors but if this doesn’t work, please do ensure you have your masks on at all time during your work. To care for your health is vital.
