「Facebook有個挺好的功能，就是會彈出「當年今日」的回顧，讓你瞬間倒帶，檢視人生足迹。不久之前，我因此功能好好回味了5年前的一趟秘魯之旅，看自己踏遍鹽田、藜麥田和酷似外星人降落基地的麥田圈足迹，還有乘坐豪華列車Hiram Bingham從庫斯科到馬丘比丘沿途的瀚然風光，心中無限懷念。5年前，秘魯菜剛在國際上嶄露頭角，我在此趟旅程從怒吃名店如Central、Astrid & Gaston到拜訪玻利維亞邊境的Lake Titicaca漂浮島居民，在高級餐飲平台、地理環境和部落文化去探索何謂秘魯菜。那是我第一個親身接觸的南美洲菜系，10天旅程下來算是有個基礎踏實的了解，談不上深入。」
