謠言會殺死人，而且甚至會讓你 #殺死來救你的人...
這是則國內沒什麼人注意，但值得你思考的重要國際醫療新聞。最近 #剛果 傳出令人髮指的事件，外國協助 #伊波拉病毒 防疫的醫療人員，慘遭 #當地暴民攻擊死亡，而且類似的案件頻傳，導致醫療團考慮不得不撤離。而這群專家的撤離，可能讓致死率高達 5 成的伊波拉病毒在當地雪上加霜...
台灣人可能覺得伊波拉病毒距離自己很遙遠，其實光是在 2013-2016 年間，在西非的伊波拉疫情，就導致超過 10000 人死亡，近期在剛果境內約 1300 個病例中，就已經有 880 人死亡。
暴民為什麼會攻擊防疫人員呢？怎麼會有正常人會去攻擊來救援你的人？答案是 ＃謠言。
當初疫情爆發後，國外的救援組織，冒著生命危險，在險峻的環境下，躲過當地叛軍、暴民、恐怖份子，把疫苗跟物資送到了疫區。許多醫療人員也冒著生命危險，在當地開設醫療據點，希望將疫情控制住，拯救無辜的百姓。
但可怕的謠言出現了，有人說「之前兩三年伊波拉不嚴重啊是這群人來了才變嚴重的」，直指防疫人員才是帶來伊波拉的元兇。甚至有人說他們是靠著防疫的名目賺錢的混蛋。這導致民眾不但不願意防疫，還開始攻擊、搶劫，甚至是殺害了遠從國外來幫忙的防疫人員。
現在當地的醫療團隊，在沒辦法確定能否獲得安全保障的狀況下，不得不評估撤退的作法。但這些專家一旦撤退，當地的防疫能量不足，可能會讓疫情更嚴重地爆發，讓有機會獲得救治的村落，反而成為人間煉獄。
遠在台灣的我們，看到這些外電，真的不知道能說什麼好了。謠言會殺死人、愚蠢會殺死人，甚至會讓你殺了自己的救命恩人。如果我們不希望，有一天台灣會發生這麼可怕的事，那真的需要更多的人，一起保持警醒的頭腦，一起阻止錯誤的資訊傳播啊...
