So this week I tipped $5,000 at some of my absolute favorite Chinese takeout spots in New York City. The whole restaurant industry in New York City has been devastated by COVID and Chinese restaurants have been particularly hard-hit. So I wanted to give them a nice tip to show them how much we love and support them here at Xiaomanyc! Especially because it's Chinese New Year and it's a perfect time to give these restaurants some nice red envelopes. 2020 Happy New Year!
The project I was working on a while ago, for the tea brand NaiXue in China. I design 6 creatures, representing 6 different blessings for the new year. They really did a great job for the whole package, I'm so impressed!

Creature and blessings in order:
- Pixiu for wealth
- White Deer for career
- Fenghuang (Chinese phoenix) for love/ relationship
- NaiXue (mascot from the brand) for dream come true
- Qilin for everything as wish/ all the best
- Black Tortoise for health

Today, i ate Cheesecakes (is a sweet dessert consisting of one or more layers. The main, and thickest layer, consists of a mixture of soft, fresh cheese eggs, vanilla and sugar) that i bought it from Uncle Rikuro (the nickname of a man from osaka in japan that has been making these jiggly cheesecakes for years, The cakes are so popular, he cakes are best served hot, fluffy) from my trip to osaka , and not just that, i ate puddings with milk tea, all that is so high in calories. it was so tasty and delicious!!

Today, the deep fry serie is back, and i tried this time to deep fry the japanese sweets "Sakuramochi" (is a Japanese sweet consisting of sweet pink-colored rice cake with a red bean paste center, and wrapped in a pickled cherry blossom leaf, Different regions of Japan have different styles of sakuramochi) that one of the viewer asked me to try it, with tea, milk tea and a lot more, all that is so high in calories. it was so delicious and tasty with much fun !!
