My 6th year-end, can you believe it? I am so lucky to have you guys staying with me all the time, even at my rock bottom.

I felt so grateful for the support from everyone during this wild journey. And this year, I left home, made it to Los Angeles to chase my dream & started my brand new life!

Sunlight, Film School, La la land, absolutely a dream-come-true!
But it’s just another start followed by endless challenges. I never stop doubting myself, almost giving up every time but never losing the hope. Even though every night the things keeping me awake were not always a million dreams, I still had my own "greatest hope" for a living and believed that I could be that one in a million someday.

This year, from April to August, was the darkest time, but also the transformational moment of my life when this channel, "AnDyWuMUSICLAND," literally came from death to life. We've learnt how to "Fight For Love" in 2015, how to deal with the loss when "We Were Young" in 2016, but every time, in next phase of our lives, there are always different, unexpected challenges for us to confront.

The most important thing is: how do we deal with the struggle? When I was trapped in the hard feelings and asking "what have I done," "why did this world do this to me?" I almost didn't wanna fight anymore. I truly said a couple of times that "I wouldn’t do mashups anymore." and "There's no way I would release Mashup 2017." However, seeing how Ariana Grande fought against the terrorists with "One Love Manchester" gave me the whole new point of view. I realized that we could be sad, scared and devastated, but after all, we still need love, music, and connections with people to give us a cathartic experience. That's how we become and stronger.

"If we never learn, we been here before. Why are we always stuck and running from the bullets?" We cannot choose the challenges we are faced with, but if there's love, we can steer how it goes. In the end, we all have to thank, "Perfect Struggle," to make us perfect, and move on to the next stage of life.

(In August, I also made a short film called "Reconnection," directed & written by me, using an abstract way to express the intimate feeling of me during the dark time. And this film will be premiered on this channel soon as well. Hope you will like it!)

In the loop of getting hurt and beat by the feeling, we often think life won’t be the same again. I wanna share a bit more about my making process this time. Every year-end mashup usually took me 2 months to make. 1 month for the audio 1 month for the video. Last year since I went to film school and got busy, everything was condensed to only 3 weeks to make. And this year, I was shooting my own film and couldn’t start anything until the end of November, which was the main reason why I released it so much later this time. But no matter what, I will make sure it is good enough to summarize the beauty of the whole year and present it to you guys. Thank you for all the support!!
