มันมีหลายฉากที่หนังพยายามลดระดับดอกฟ้าลงมาให้หมาวัดสัมผัสได้ เช่นฉากที่จูเลีย โรเบิร์ตนั่งเล่าความรันทดของตัวเองกลางโต๊ะอาหาร ซึ่งก็คือความอึดอัดที่ต้องอดอาหาร เจอแฟนทำร้ายร่างกาย ทำอะไรก็ไม่มีความเป็นส่วนตัว และการที่เธอตระหนักดีถึงชีวิตที่ต้องเจอช่วงขาลง และหนังก็ไม่ได้ให้หมาวัดอย่างฮิวจ์ แกรนท์จมปลักกับความฝันจะครอบครองนางฟ้า เพราะการที่เขาโดนเธอทำร้ายจิตใจถึงสองครั้งก็ทำให้เขาพยายามตัดใจจากเธอไม่ใช่ยังดันทุรังต่อไป

แต่ตอนจบก็เป็นอย่างที่เราเห็นกันน่ะแหละ ไม่ผิดอะไรที่ผู้หญิงจะสารภาพรักผู้ชายก่อนจริงไหม?
