I’m using US prime beef, shabu cut here. It’s very tender, with a good amount of fat that my family really like. I always marinate my meat with a generous sprinkle of @liloikanbilis ever since I omitted salt and pepper for the kids. I find that it gives a nice umami flavor to the beef and it is made of 100% mushroom with no preservatives. 🤗Heat pan with small amount of oil, and pan fry beef. Prepare marinate beforehand/ I’m using Sukiyaki sauce + a small amount of sugar as I feel that the added sweetness complements the sauce nicely. Once beef is 30% done, pour in marinate into pan. Cook til preferred done-ness. Place rice in bowl, arrange beef over rice and pour sauce over. Place onsen egg (recipe below) in the middle, sprinkle sesame seeds, furikake - mix well and serve. 😋✨

Onsen Egg : Boil water in small pot and once boiling, switch off fire. Place cold egg in water fully immersed, and leave for 12 minutes. Once time is up, remove egg and place in iced water. Break egg in small bowl and pour over rice. 💕
