Happy Malaysia Day! So much emotions to unpack today while I reveal these pieces. These three new artworks were created from soil gathered from East and West Malaysia.

I've been working on this project since Nov 2020, when Alvin Teoh, son of Malaysian war veteran, Major Andrew, contacted me asking if I’d want to create artworks to be shown in a documentary about Malaysian war veterans. One of my missions as an artist is to tell stories, especially meaningful ones about history, culture and heritage, so of course I said yes.

From the start, we knew that soil would be the main material to symbolise land that was fought for. Admittedly, there was a lot I didn't know about that the war and the vets - about the pain and reality of war, how it affected their families and lives, and their deep love for the country. I got to meet two vets in person before lockdown, and the rest I met through Zoom. I was also deeply touched by how there were so many Malaysians of various backgrounds who fought for our country - of all races, beliefs, backgrounds, and of Malaysians from East and West Malaysia. As a Sabahan (East Malaysian), I hope these artworks and this documentary will also present East Malaysians as an equal to the West. That is the symbolism of gathering soil from both East and West Malaysia. The documentary will be shown tonight on Astro at 9pm (GMT + 8 ) on Channel 100. Happy Malaysia Day. ❤

We worked on this artwork, then set it on fire. I hope this piece will move you.

We are artists. Not politicians, businessmen or lawmakers. But we believe that art can change the world. How? Art makes you feel - the way no data or statistics can. Our progress as humans has brought us incredible achievements but this same hunger has destroyed the world around us.

Like the baby orangutan in this video, future generations are clinging onto us for help. Like the firefighters portrayed here, there are organisations and helpers stepping up to stop the damage.

However, there’s no undo button for this artwork. The same goes for our planet.

We hope this artwork will make you feel. And that this felt feeling may spur thinking, engagement, and action.

What is the relationship between Puspal and Star Planet? Will it cause the monopolisation of the concert industry? Although Puspal has clarified that they're not involved in this matter with Star Planet, we still look forward that the authority will further investigate on this matter. Thank you everyone for helping and concerning, all regards are well received. We will at our level best to make it a success. Not forgetting to mention, we have received the emails from all the charity organisations however due to overwhelm response, we require more time to segregate and verify. I won’t and will not bow to the rich and the powerful, even that I only have a pair of hands and a kukubird.

#DLLM Charity tour! I told you that I will donate all the profits of my concert to charity. We started our journey in March before the MCO, and now we will start again after MCO. There is still a long way to go… Btw, Thanks for helping them!

說到做到，做不到切kukujiao的 #DLLM 慈善之旅其實在三月份就展開了，只是後來遇到封國所以才被迫停止。接下來解除封國了我們會繼續跑下去！

我們之前收到了三百多封來自各地慈善團體的E-MAIL。這些都是你們來買票看演唱會的錢，所以我們需要一家一家去問清楚，然後再一家一家去到現場檢查這些慈善團體，才敢決定要捐給誰，不然怕捐錯。這都是需要花很多人力物力，時間和精神的．．．

這一次的旅途我們遇到了很多奇葩的事情，也聽到了很多感人的故事。我們都用Video Cam記錄下來了，接下來會分成好幾集分享給大家。請大家慢慢欣賞吧！

演唱會很成功, 大爆滿, 大家很開心. 但對我來說, 最大的挑戰才正要開始. 有三件重要的事情等著我們去完成.
1. 把錢還給貸款給我的人, 還有付給所有來自四面八方的團隊及合作公司, 然後計算出盈利的部分.

2. 整理出所有聯絡我們的四五百家慈善團體, 從頭過濾一遍, 然後一家一家跟他們聯絡, 審核完畢之後, 需要把盈利分配好然後一家一家匯款.

3. 整理所有的證據, 證人和所有的資料. 找律師, 找部長, 找錢, 開會, 準備跟大鯨魚上法庭打官司.

以上的東西需要很漫長很漫長的時間才能完成... 這是2020年一整年的任務和責任. 衝啊!!!

The concert was a "Full House" success. Everyone is happy, of course I am too, but for me it is not the ending, but the beginning of a series of challenges. There are 3 things awaiting me...

1. Repay money that i have borrowed to run the concert, and pay to all the crew teams and cooperative companies that helped in the concert, and then calculate the profit.

2. Sort out all the charitable organisations that have contacted us (around 400 or 500 units), filter and review the list, then contact the eligibles one by one. We will distribute the profits accordingly.

3. Collect all the evidence, witnesses and information; look for lawyers and ministers; find money; hold multiples meetings to prepare myself to go to the court with the Big Whale.

The above list takes a long, long time to complete... This will be my task and responsibility for the whole 2020. Fighting!!!
