I’ve been waiting for days to post this one up! 🤣 Billion Dollar Whale has hit the @nytimes bestseller list and if you don’t know much about it, the book tells the story of Jho Low from Malaysia who used his social connections to our former Prime Minister Najib to transform himself into an international financier/thief - approximately five billion dollars of government funds disappeared under him. “Jho Low makes the Young family from #crazyrichasians look borderline middle class”, says my brilliant filmmaker friend @daniel.ziv 😂. The same guys behind #crazyrichasians have bought the rights to turn the book into a movie, and I hope they cast Leonardo DiCaprio as Leonardo DiCaprio, Miranda Kerr as Miranda Kerr, and Dr Jason Leong Comedy as Jho Low. 🤣🙏🏻

Refugees traveling across borders to seek refuge. I visited a Syrian refugee school and camp last year in Lebanon. I saw bright-eyed children in school eager to make art, but I also saw the look of despair in the older kids and in their parents. I felt terrible for them, but it was only when I landed back home and saw my mum in the car waiting for me that it hit me hard: I have arrived safely at home and I am going to see my loved ones. I only cry for the first time since that trip because I realise they may never reach at their final destination or see their loved ones again, like how I’m seeing mine. There is a lot of discussion surrounding refugees globally these days. Let’s show more kindness, compassion and love to them, and let’s stand up for their future too. ❤️
