I lived in Taipei from 1992 through 1994 when I was a junior officer in the Foreign Service. In those days, our office was on Xinyi Road. More recently, I came to Taiwan almost two years ago as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and had a chance to visit the beautiful new AIT building in Neihu. Things have changed a lot!
