วันนี้ 10 ปีที่แล้ว
ผมประสบกับอุบัติเหตุทางสมอง 🧠
ที่รุนแรงที่สุดในชีวิต
และผมถูกห้ามไม่ให้ต่อยมวยอีกเลย
ณ ตอนนั้นเริ่มมีอาการ พูดคำติด ๆ ขัด ๆ 🗣
เริ่มขยับนิ้วไม่ค่อยได้ และ ปวดหัวมาก 🖖
ถึงขั้นจำไม่ได้ว่าอยู่ที่ไหน จำชื่อเพื่อนไม่ได้ 🤷♂️
แม้ว่าผมจะชนะในไฟท์นี้ 🏆
แต่ชีวิตผมน่าจะสั้นลง
เหมือนที่เขาบอกไว้ว่า
ร่างกายของนักมวยจะพังเร็วกว่าคนทั่วไป 🥊
10ปีต่อมา
ในตอนนี้ผมก็ยังได้รับผลกระทบจากวันนั้น
จากช่วงที่ผมฝึกร่างกายอย่างหนัก🤼♂️
มันคุ้มไหม
แน่นอนที่สุด!!!
แม้ผมจะมีบาดแผลที่สมอง
ไปทั้งชีวิต จากการต่อสู้
แต่ผมก็ได้แลกมาซึ่ง
ความมีวินัย
ความไม่กลัวเกรง และ
ความมีเกียรติไปทั้งชีวิตเช่นกัน..✊
10 years ago today.
I had the worst brain injury in my life.
And was told to never fight again.
It started with stuttering words
Twitching fingers
And constant headaches
I would even forget where I was
and the names of my friends
Although I won this fight
I may have shaved a couple years
off my life span
As they say.
Fighters bodies age faster
than regular people
10 years later... present day
I am now feeling the effects of
Of putting my body
through rigorous training
Was it worth it?
Hell yes.
For the rest of my life
I will have minor brain damage,
A few battle scars..
In exchange for lifelong
Discipline, Fearlessness, and Glory

…จนกระทั่งในชั่วข้ามคืนนึงเขาก็ถูกด่า ถูกประนาม ถูกล้อเลียนรูปร่างหน้าตา เพียงเพราะเขาได้ทำผิดพลาดในสิ่งที่เลวร้ายที่สุดในชีวิตขึ้นมา

…ผมไม่ได้รู้สึกอยากด่าพี่เลย แต่ผมรู้สึกอยาก”ขอบคุณ”
-ขอบคุณที่พี่ให้บทเรียนแก่ผู้ชายหลายๆคนในประเทศรู้ว่า”การเริ่มต้นในสิ่งที่เราไม่รู้ว่าจะจบมันยังไง” ผลมันจะออกมาเป็นแบบไหนและใครบ้างที่ต้องเจ็บและเสียใจกับการกระทำแบบนี้

…ผมรู้สึกได้จากภาพในงานแต่ง รวมถึง ตอนให้สัมภาษณ์ คุณคงต้องแบกรับความรู้สึกผิดที่ยิ่งใหญ่ขนาดไหนไว้ด้วยตัวคนเดียว

สุดท้ายผมอยากจะบอกกับคนที่กำลังซ้ำเติมอยู่ ว่าตัวคุณดีพอหรือยังแล้วคุณรู้เรื่องของเขาแค่ไหนถึงตัดสินความผิดคนอื่น หรืออาจเพียงเพราะคุณแค่กำลังสะใจแค่นั้นเอง

(และท้ายสุด)เหตุการแบบนี้เกิดขึ้นกับเราและกับคนรอบตัวเราอยู่ตลอด เพียงแต่คุณหรือคนอื่นๆอาจแค่หลอกตัวเองเวลาที่รู้สึกดีกับใครและใครรู้สึกดีกับเรา จากนั้นเราก็อาจจะแทนพวกเขาเป็นน้องเป็นพี่เป็นเพื่อนในความสัมพันธ์ที่ลึกซึ้งกว่านั้น ทั้งๆที่เราก็มีคนของเราอยู่แล้ว ดังนั้นให้มันเป็นบทเรียนและเรียนรู้ที่ “หนักแน่นและชัดเจนกับคนปัจจุบันของตัวเองก็พอ” ขอบคุณสำหรับบทเรียนราคาแพงนี้ครับพี่ป๊อป ปองกูล #ยังคงติดตามผลงานของพี่ต่อไปเสมอ🎤
