Why is the MB saying NO to GST, water deals and highways?
I understand there are teething problems with GST - I personally feel it was implemented a wee bit too fast. You need to ensure the personnel and authorities involved are (fully) well-equipped and knowledgeable about it first ...but what's done is done.
Moving forward, I hope corruption and crazy kickbacks are going to stop once and for all. There must be transparency and proper governance as to how public funds are being utilised.
I've been a tax-payer since I started work in 2001. I always pay on time. I may not like it, but I do it because our government has a country to run and I am a proud citizen of Malaysia. I pay my Cukai Taksiran, I pay taxes imposed on me when I purchase something online from overseas. And I'm one of those who didn't make a huge fuss when GST was introduced BUT I did go all lengths to know more about it and to find out how I can cut costs by revising my monthly budget, and trimming things that the family don't really need.
I've used an example on how the Swedes are exceptionally OK with their high taxes (GST alone is 25%) and this is due to their system and the efficiency of their administrators. (It's too long to type it all out here, but it's on my Instagram post: daphneiking).
About the water deal.
This is one of the most recent articles I can find online:
"The Selangor state government is committed to finding a swift solution to its long-held ambition to restructure the state’s water industry, provided that its federal counterpart lives up to its end of the bargain, Mentri Besar Azmin Ali said today."
"Finding a SWIFT solution to it LONG-held ambition." "provided"
This issue has been ding-donging for so long. I lost track on the mud-slinging.
It's very tiring. The same goes with plans for better roads, highways, public transportation ...yadayadayada.
I akin it to parents who are getting a divorce and fighting over who gets what ... who pays how much....
And while that drama unfolds, guess who suffers most? The children.
In this case. The rakyat.
Ok itu sahaja buat Jumaat ini.
Bye.

Yeah!
In the darkest night
I make the bad guys fall (Ha!)
There's a million heros
But I'm the best of them all (Yeah!)
Who has the coolest gadgets? (Batman!)
Who has the tricked out ride? (Batman!)
Who does the sickest backflips? (Batman!)
Na Na Na Na Na
Batman, yeah!
Hey, hey, hey
Batman, yeah!
Hey, hey, hey
Batman, yeah!
Dun dun da da da da da
Batman!
You think my muscles are big (Dang!)
You haven't seen my brain
Ladies, its okay if you stare (Why?)
'Cause I'm a billionaire!
And this is me playing guitar also
I get the last laugh
I get the final grin
Throw you into the asylum
With Harley Quinn
Turn Two-Face
Into Black-And-Blue-Face
I 100% am not Bruce Wayne
Yeah!
Who's the manliest man? (Batman!)
With buns of steel? (Batman!)
Who could choke hold a bear? (Batman!)
Who never skips leg day? (Batman!)
Who always pays their taxes? (Not Batman!)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! Batman!
Batman! Batman! Batman! Batman!
Na Na Na Na Na
Batman, yeah!
Hey, hey, hey
Batman, yeah!
Hey, hey, hey
