AIT Director Christensen and Foreign Minister Wu recently issued a joint statement announcing enhanced U.S.-Taiwan cooperation on combatting COVID-19. Last week, Director Christensen met with Dean of NTU College of Public Health and former Fulbright Scholar Dr. Chan Chang-chuan to learn more about the efforts he is leading to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Last week, Dr. Chan also joined U.S. experts in a Voice of America virtual town hall, where he shared Taiwan's world-renown approach to managing COVID-19 with countries around the world. This is just one of the many ways the U.S. and Taiwan are supporting each other's efforts to stem this global pandemic. On May 18, President Trump sent a greeting to the 18th Washington, D.C. Dragon Boat Festival. In his congratulatory message, President Trump highlighted Taiwan’s history and the people of Taiwan’s tradition and culture, and said that the United States and Taiwan share the same goal of a more prosperous and free globe. President Trump said: "I send my warmest greetings to those attending the 2019 Washington, D.C. Dragon Boat Festival. Over the past 18 years, the Dragon Boat Festival has brought the rich history of Taiwan to the waterfront of the Potomac River for visitors and residents of our Nation’s capital to enjoy. This event, hosted by the Taiwan-U.S. Cultural Association, helps to foster a deeper appreciation of the traditions and culture of the people of Taiwan. Today is an opportunity to forge new friendships and recognize our shared goals of greater prosperity and liberty throughout the world. Melania and I send our best wishes for a memorable event."

Synopsis:

Tonmai plans to close the bar, but falls in love with Tonlew (Bell Nuntita - Thailand's Got Talent), a tomboy ladyboy and bar's driver. Now, Tonmai questions if is he is gay or straight.
Din (Pavich Subrungroj), a high school boy, begins his journey when his father, displeased with Din's feminine behavior, sends him away to be a novice priest, expecting Din to be healed. However, Din falls in love with Luang Pee Sang (Kisthachapon Tananara), his priest mentor.
In a world where some believe what they are told to believe, others search for their own truth. When the search leads to love, can circumstances demand that this truth be denied? Come experience the journeys of these three loving souls in this courageous and heartfelt film, "It Gets Better".
Tanwarin Sukkhapisit is a director, scriptwriter and producer for the film 'Insects in the Backyard' (2010). The film was banned from general release by the rating committee under the Office of National Culture Commission in reason of containing an allusion to patricide and prostitution. Tanwarin became a director of feature film as Tai Hong (2010) and Hug Na Sarakham (2011) and founded her own film production company, Amfine Production in 2011 with producers, Sutthiket Kongthaworn and Thitipan Raksasat.

และสุดท้ายเรื่องราวของดิน (พาวิช ทรัพย์รุ่งโรจน์) เด็กมัธยมที่พ่อจับได้ว่าเป็นกะเทย จึงถูกพ่อจับไปบวชแล้วส่งไปอยู่วัดในชนบท โดยหวังว่าจะช่วยให้เขากลับมาเป็นผู้ชายได้ แล้วดินก็ได้พบกับหลวงพี่แสง (กฤษตญาพนธ์ ธนะนารา) พระพี่เลี้ยงที่ดูแลเอาใจใส่ดินอย่างดี ดินจึงต้องพยายามสะกดความรู้สึกของตัวเองไว้ เพราะอยู่ในผ้าเหลือง
