Across the United States, Americans celebrate Independence Day, also called the Fourth of July, with red, white and blue decorations, fireworks, barbeques and apple pie. Yes, America has its apples. And Taiwan… has mangos! What could be better on a hot summer day than mango shaved ice? Taiwan mangos are among the juiciest and most flavorful fruits in the world, and they’re also one of Director Christensen’s favorite foods! Thanks to the many kind people of Taiwan that sent mangos and even ready-to-eat Mango shave ice to the Director and to AIT!!
Did you know that in the 1960s the Irwin mango was first introduced to Taiwan from Florida? How can we not love Taiwan mangos? They embody our U.S. and Taiwan friendship!
