Have arrived safely after an uneventful ride on my train to Busan! I was last here 5 years ago, also for an ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit.
This year’s Summit is a good opportunity to set the direction for deeper cooperation between ASEAN and South Korea, especially in the areas of multilateralism, connectivity, and digital technology. President Moon Jae-in’s New Southern Policy aligns well with ASEAN’s aims, and I look forward to exploring how we can deepen our ties. – LHL
Mundane life|
You may sigh at your life that seems uneventful and mundane but remember there are many many people in this world who would do anything to live a non-complicated life ☺️ Cherish the little joys in life. This was how we spent Christmas night. No parties. No alcohol. No fancy outfits. Just us in bed watching tv with our snacks and yet it was the perfect night. #bubzvlogz #family
So it’s the last day of 2018 and I’ve been trying to reflect on this year. Maybe it’s a mommy brain but looking back, it just seems like a huge blur so I can’t really pinpoint what happened 🙈. This year was the year I stepped back to focus on the family while Tim stepped forward to focus on his projects. I can honestly say this arrangement was exactly what we needed. He put aside his dreams for me for the past decade & now I’m glad I can lovingly support his.
Being 100 with you all, it’s not always easy seeing fellow peers move on to bigger projects and online success. Mind you, it has never ever got me down to the point where I would feel upset or ungrateful. It’s more of a little smile because you’re genuinely happy for them but it also comes with a little sigh if wonderment. Sometimes, I wonder if things would be different if I had children later? What if I hired help? Now I’m just making excuses. What if I just made more effort? Should I be more ambitious? But why? Especially if I AM HAPPY. How could I do more when I’m running on empty most days 😅. I’ll tell you what, my heart Is full.
This year was peaceful. I have never been more present. I smiled more. In fact, I LAUGHED A LOT.
It always seems like the grass is greener on the other side and so it's easy to compare yourselves to others when it’s unhealthy and unnecessary. Who’s to say who is living a better life? So, I ask myself, am I happy? After all, people who strive to achieve goals, success and materialistic things all want the same end goal: happiness. If you feel it within you already, that is all that matters. If you feel like your life has been uneventful this year, know that lots of people would LOVE a non complicated life too. If this year has been difficult for you, guess what? You survived it. WELL DONE! Somehow, you made it by taking it one day at a time. You deserve credit so be kind to yourself.
Before 2018 ends, I want to say thank you for being a wonderful friend. Somehow in the big magnificent and scary digital world, I have my safe haven with you all. When I share a vlog, it’s as if I’m sharing with my friends around the world. Im truly thankful. #bubzvlogz #2018

I’m Bad Omen,
Enjoying This Moment
According to my culture, it’s bad omen for women who have just had a baby to go to somebody’s home in the first month. Granny Bubz didn’t want anything bad to happen to both my family and my sister’s family and despite the fact neither my sister or I believe in this, we respect her wishes. Only two more weeks until we can bring her outside to the world. I can’t wait.
Meanwhile, poor Ayla has been grunting and growling constantly from discomfort due to gas. She is just impossible to wind and unfortunately, this leads to her being in pain. Hoping her digestive system kicks up a gear soon. So heartbreaking to see her like this and the only thing I can do is cuddle her. I always seem to have an oversupply when it comes to my milk and the forceful milk makes it even more difficult for her and she ends up swallowing too much air. Mummies and daddies out there, let me know if you have any advice you can give us. We would greatly appreciate it.
We are still very much in an uneventful stage where we aren’t getting up to much. However, I am enjoying this stage very much. It almost feels like a little holiday. Isaac has been super clingy this week and even though he has been a really good boy, we understand this transition will affect him too. We’re just settling in the new dynamics of our family right now. Sorry that vlogs are a bit on the slow side!! Thank you for being so awesome as always.

We’re sorry things have been so uneventful lately. Truth is, we’re not getting much to very much at home. I spend most of my days at home in my nightie (with my boobs hanging out lol). We’re amazed at how much easier things seem this time round. Maybe because we know what to expect now but we just honestly can’t complain at all. It may be even more possible that it's because Ayla has just been such a good girl. Not only is she thriving and feeding well, she also is a little fantastic little sleeper too. Isaac seems to be adapting well and constantly reminds me daily that he loves his baby sister. Thank you for remaining so patient with us!!

Tim has already left for Hong Kong for over a week now. Excited to have him back soon =) Meanwhile, I've just been on my toes taking care of household and writing when possible. The more I write, the more excited I feel about this book. I'm so sorry that virtually NOTHING has been happening. I guess with Isaac & the book being my main focus, I just haven't been getting up to much.. Here is another uneventful dull one.
Ps. What do you think happens to odd socks? Do you think the washing machine and drier is actually a portal that takes them to a different universe? I do feel that life is too short to wear matching socks all the time. You want to solve this problem? I say only buy ONE style of socks. If they are all white, PROBLEM SOLVED!! Let me know your thoughts on socks.
