This is a new kebab joint in town along Sukumvit Soi 22, fascinatingly named, "Berlin’s Doner Kebab", yes we said Berlin as in Germany, presents “Berlin Style Kebab '' sandwiches and wraps. Apparently the home of the fast-food wrapped version, developed after the second World War when Turkish migrant labourers introduced their cuisine to Germany.
So what’s the difference at Berlin's you ask? Well according to the Chef they are more upperscale in terms of quality, freshness and presentation compared to your average greasy street Kebab. A lot of which they serve is made in-house such as their wraps and thin ‘pizzas' Lahmacuns, including most of the sauces and accompaniments. They don’t buy their spit meat ready-prepared either, they assemble the meat together from scratch every morning.
Although Berlin’s Doner Kebab opened in the middle of the Covid-19 crisis in Bangkok, it appears that they are now already prepared to serve delivery. Our personal highlight was the Doner Lahmacuns, the thin and crispy Turkish pizza which you can choose your own fillings; Beef and Lamb, or Chicken

If u always shy away from middle eastern food, it’s time to check out @artichoke_sg that claims to serve the least authentic middle eastern food in SG (and they are proud of this fact 😎). Authentic or not it doesn’t matter cos everything is still as rockin’ good as I rmb back when it first started 9 years ago.
But the team is always enthusiastic to feed people with new dishes and thus the menu changes as fast as every few months (efficiency 💯)
Take for instance the Crab Toast (2 for $16) that shouldn’t be mistaken as any other crab slider. And definitely not crap cos u’ve got that stellar housemade brioche, blue swimmer crab, Ikura and .... deep fried chicken skin?!?!
2) Sea Asparagus with Labneh and Crispy Buckwheat — probably only here where u can find this Israel veg as a main dish. Has a natural briny taste but balances with the yoghurt
3) Sugared Plums on Spinach with fried onions- if only all creamed spinach were prep like this
4) Hummus with Duck Breast and Brown Butter
5) Beetroot Hummus with housemade 3-nut Dukka — get both hummus with Turkish bread 😋😋😋 @ Artichoke Singapore

【材料/分量】※5〜6人分
白身魚(鯛) /半身1枚
玉ねぎ/1/2個
にんにく/1片
セロリ/
1/2本
パプリカ(赤・黄・緑)/
各1/2個
長茄子/3本
オリーブオイル/大さじ1
バター/大さじ2
塩・こしょう/各少々
ミント(乾燥) /適量
コンソメスープ/
700~800ml
白ワイン/大さじ3
ミント(フレッシュ)/適量
チリパウダー/少々
【調理工程】
① 玉ねぎ、にんにく、セロリは
あわせてみじん切りにし、パプリカは乱切りにする。
② フライパンにオリーブオイルを熱し、
玉ねぎ、にんにく、セロリをしんなりするまで炒めて、
パプリカ、Aを加えさらに炒め、コンソメスープを注ぐ。
③ 長茄子はヘタ付きのまま縦半分に切り、
白身魚は5~6cm幅程度にそぎ切りして②に加え、
白ワインを入れて、
沸騰後弱火で15~20分ほど煮る。
④ 器に盛り付け、
ミントとチリパウダーを散らす。
【ポイント】
・白身魚は、
焼かずに入れているので、
スープが沸騰した中に
入れてください
・ミントの量は、乾燥、
フレッシュともにお好みの量を使ってOK!
