12 teens and his soccer coach found 400 m. away from Pattaya Beach inside the cave. They are all safe!!! Hooray!
Delighted & relieved that the 12 Thai boys & their football coach have been successfully rescued from the Tham Luang cave!
This complex operation was a remarkable display of the strength of the human spirit. It is an inspiring tale of what different nations and groups can achieve by working together. It was heartening to see so many prayers and suggestions for the Wild Boars’ safe rescue – this saga has touched many around the world.
I wish all those rescued a smooth and quick recovery from their ordeal (hopefully in time for the World Cup final this Sunday :) ). Not forgetting the Thai and international rescuers and volunteers who contributed to this immense operation, including Petty Officer First Class Saman Gunan, who tragically gave his life delivering oxygen tanks into the cave. All of them showed great heart and resilience during this rescue, which succeeded thanks to their efforts. – LHL
I was happy to hear that the 12 Thai boys and their soccer coach were found safe after being trapped in Tham Luang cave for nine days. The grit and resilience of these young men is an inspiration to all. I hope that the operation to bring them out of the cave will be successful and they can be reunited with their families soon.
This difficult and gruelling search operation would not have succeeded without the strong leadership and coordination of the Thai Government and the tireless efforts of the multi-national rescue team, including the two British volunteer divers who first found the boys. I have written to PM Prayut Chan-o-cha to commend the Thai government’s efforts, and to offer Singapore’s assistance in any way we can. – LHL

DAY 1
?Sam Poh Tong temple
One of the biggest cave temples in Malaysia with a splendid Japanese-inspired garden view. Highly recommend to visit this place for a peace of mind and the peaceful ambience and breathtaking scenery.
DAY 2
?Tempurung cave
*Admission fee with MyKad: RM12 per person
One of the longest limestone caves in Malaysia. The interior of the cave is so cool and beautiful, in awe with the creation of Mother Nature.
?STG Tea House Café
We searched for this place in Google and it totally exceeded our expectation! The environment is really cozy and pretty. They also have a wide selection of food from Western food to local specialities. Highly recommend!
?Sourvenirs : Lam Fong biscuit, Sin Eng Ho
Before heading home, we bought some famous Ipoh biscuits from Lam Fong like “sak kei ma”, “yim guk kai” (salt baked chicken); and the kaya puffs from Sin Eng Ho. Sooo yummy ??
There were very few people at most of the places that we went, so be rest assured that it’s safe. We also wore face mask, kept a safe distance from strangers and sanitised all the time. Even had McDonald’s in the car to stay away from the crowd haha.
All in all, it was a really memorable trip. Penang and a few other states are currently under MCO, so we’re now staying at home ??? No matter where you’re living in Malaysia, remember to always follow SOP and stay safe!
