Probably for rest of my life I will be called 外國人 (Wàiguó rén), but the fact is, I spent most of my adult life here in Taiwan.
I am a restless person and staying in one place for me is not an option.
I like to go out, explore, learn, try new. And once there is something I haven't seen and done, I am getting exctited and I am learning about this.
I cannot count how many trains, car rides, ferries and airplanes were necessary to finish this video. But all those trips and knowledge I gained here, I wanted to share with you and the whole world.
Because everybody should know such a special place like Taiwan!
This was supposed to be a short video about 10 things everybody needs to do/see/try when in Taiwan. But during writing and production, I realized I have so many things to share and so many materials to show, that even with my best intentions, keeping it short and sticking to the most important things. Still, it's not that short in the end 🙂 Hope you can forgive me that.
Actually, this bilingual video covers so many things:
- what doors to use while entering temples?
- where is one of the three salty water hotsprings?
- does Taiwan has own piece of paradise?
- what's the craziest festival in the world?
- what is 山友 (Shān yǒu)?
You will see shots from Yilan to Pingtung, and even Taiwan offshore islands.
Without further talking, just sit down, relax and let me know what you think! Looking forward to hearing from you!

#Life in China. Why do Chinese people like to visit Thailand especially to travel to the sea? There is a sea in China. But why do many people choose to come to Thailand?
I have a chance to talk to Chinese friends to the above point. It makes me know that Chinese people visit Thailand, especially Thailand with 2 main reasons.
1. Travel to Thailand. Very affordable. Beautiful sea. There are plenty of activities to do. (last weekend, I went to Sichang Island. There are many Chinese people. Both Mainland and Taiwan, Hong Kong. We have a chance to ask Chinese people found that It's okay. I think it's not expensive)
2. Chinese sea such as Koh Haian (Haian province) that is very expensive. There are plenty of people. Especially during the festival like this time. The Chinese new year is full of the beach. Check out the evidence in the photos and every festival. Flight tickets will be more expensive than going abroad. If you fly during Chinese new year, 10 times higher than usual, such as traveling from the seashore " to " to " Beijing " must pay more than 10,000 yuan? Around 50,000 baht
Recently, from last night until this morning, over ten thousand cars are stuck in the pier of Haikhong city. Because the cuddle th of the cuddle th of the fog can't get out of the island. So many people are stuck there. Many people need to spread. Tent is sleeping on the side of the road, but here, I would like to salute the Chinese official who sent all sectors to take care of them immediately. Take care of them all night. Whether it's food, food, drink, safety and send medical team at the
Many people may wonder if Chinese people know that there are many people going to the Chinese sea, especially during this Chinese new year. Why are they still going to go? It's easy to answer. It's almost everywhere in China. But the weather in the south of China. The weather is very good. Everyone wants to relax and many families may not be out of the country. So I took cuddle am there. Besides, it's a person. No matter how you want to go. There are not many people. I think that they experience human waves during a lifetime. It is also colorful and charm.
As we are Thai people, I am glad that Thailand has been the number 1 destination for the past three and four years. So I would like to be a good host. If you find something that Chinese, including other nations have done wrong. Please guide or send it to me. Please present the right thing in Chinese online society. Be happy to the fullest ^^
Thank you for the photos from the pages in Weibo. Credit as shown in the photo.

💜🧡💛💚
Happy New Year Everyone! I wish everyone a happy and successful new year, full of wild hot springs. Below is a map of every natural hot spring in Taiwan. Fourty-Eight of these hot springs are on my website and have detailed maps to them. I have been busy revisiting these hot springs and over the next few weeks I will be posting updated photos and maps to make it easier for everyone to visit and enjoy them, and also be posting a few new ones. I hope that everyone can have an enjoyable and safe wild hot spring experience. There are also some I have not visited, I encourage everyone to do their own hot spring explorations, the GPS details are all available on the map below.
I also have a few New Years announcements leading into 2020
2020 Year of the Hot Spring
New Years Announcement 1:
It’s going to be a better year!
In 2019 I graduated from Kainan University and I had to transition from being a student with a scholarship, to working and earning a living to support myself. As a result, I was unable to create as many new maps as I did the year before. I will change 2020, expect a lot of great new maps to places you didn’t even know existed. Xiaofei is on the task!
However, there are no ads on my website, and there isn’t going to be. All of that content is distributed for free, and has been so for 4 years now. I want everyone to be able to see Taiwan the I do, and hope that this information will allow you to have new experiences, and perhaps bring you closer to nature.
If you want to support this project, you can donate directly via patreon. Your contribution will allow me to create high quality content more frequently, I very much appreciate it. It also allows me to eat food and sleep with a roof over my head, so thank you very much for your support.
Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/xiaofei
New Years Announcement 2:
For a long time I have been looking for ways to meet up with other like minded people, and also provide clearer map information and directions. After much difficulty I am finally able to do this. I’ve created a channel a Taiwanese maps app called Doweing. When I am on road trips and traveling around the island looking for adventure partners, I will turn on location sharing and anyone who is interested in joining is more than welcome. This is not a business or tours, I am not a tour guide. I’m just looking for new friends to hike with.
This app is still in development, so it has limited functionality, but it’s very promising. It has better options than the previous app I was using to create maps, and also communication options so no one in the team gets lost. All of the maps on my website have been transferred there. I hope that it will make it easier for people to go out and explore nature in the future.
You can follow my Doweing channel here: https://doweing.com/groups/1154
New Years Announcement 3:
As many of you know I opened a YT channel. Please click the link below to make sure you are subscribed. While maps and direct travel and exploration information will be posted on my website, my videos cover broader topics like camping, outdoor safety, environmentalism. I will also use this platform to promote Taiwan tourism as a whole, and also to help some independent ecotourism coaches that do very well with safety and excitement, but are not well known. Sometimes I I will also share more personal stories about my life and who I am. Please be sure to subscribe to my channel so that you get new video notifications.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/followxiaofei
Thanks again everyone for your support and keeping the countryside beautiful. Please remember that when you go out and visit hot springs or any other part of nature to respect the environment and take all of your trash out with you. Together we can make 2020 the best year for outdoor exploration and ecotourism ever!

►Chợ hải sản Taipei Fish Market nằm ở địa chỉ No. 20號, Alley 2, Lane 410, Minzu East Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei City, Taiwan.
