ผมเป็นคนนึงที่เคยติดบุหรี่มาก ติดจนมีกลิ่นเฉพาะตัวที่คนรอบข้างจะรู้เลยว่าผมกำลังเดินมาเพราะกลิ่นมันมาก่อน มันเป็นกลิ่นที่ผสมกันระหว่างกลิ่นบุหรี่กับกลิ่นน้ำหอมที่ผมใช้ประจำ รู้นะว่าบุหรี่ไม่ดีทั้งกับร่างกาย และคนรอบข้าง แล้วเรายังต้องมาเสียเงินไปกับสิ่งที่รู้ว่าไม่ดีอีก...ในใจผมคิดแบบนี้ตลอด แต่ความอยากมันไม่เคยหาย ก็คนมันติดมาเป็นสิบปี แถมยังสูบวันละซองซึ่งก็เยอะอยู่ มันจึงไม่ง่ายเลยที่จะเลิกให้ได้เด็ดขาด จนกระทั่งเมื่อผมแต่งงาน และภรรยากำลังตั้งครรภ์เนี่ยแหละ ที่ผมมีความตั้งใจที่มากกว่าครั้งไหนๆ ผมอยากแข็งแรงครับ เพื่อจะอยู่ดูแลคนที่ผมรักไปนานๆ และผมไม่อยากให้ลูกของผมต้องมาสูดกลิ่นบุหรี่เพราะมันมีผลต่อพัฒนาการต่างๆ ของเค้า เป้าหมายเลิกให้ขาดของผมครั้งนี้มันชัดเจนมาก ผนวกกับความโชคดีคือมีภรรยาที่เป็นกำลังใจไม่ห่าง เธอมีทริคสารพัด ค่อยๆให้ผมลดจำนวน คอยเบี่ยงเบนความสนใจเมื่อผมอยากสูบบุหรี่ เช่น ชวนไปเล่นกับน้องหมา หาขนม ไอศกรีมมาทำให้ผมสดชื่น หรือหาลูกอม ยาที่เป็นหมากฝรั่งมาช่วย
