Usually, when the artist themselves contacted me, whether it's a compliment or project proposal, it always excites me from head to toes. However, when Kodaline sent this message to me, I wasn't so sure if I should feel positive about this or not. Because I wasn't thrilled. I was nervous. Covering a song really rely on the melody itself. So this doesn't feel like a cover at all. In fact, it feels like I'm helping them writing a new song using their lyrics and chords.
Meanwhile, Alyn was with me when they sent this message. He exploded with excitement and really convinced me to do it. I kinda doubt it but he really talked me into it and therefore my feelings turned from nervousness to "stimulated". And so we did it.
Things weren't like what we had planned because I had been sick all week and didn't have that much energy to do this but Alyn really helped me out. He channeled his energy to me, and together, we finished the song. So thank you Alyn for always doing a great job and being such a great artist.
All in all, it was a pretty weird/amazing experience to be doing this. So any artist out there reading this and interested of me doing to the same to your song. . . please. . . email me lol
