The Museum of the city of New York 目前正在展出 Paul Rand 的回顧展「Everything Is Design: The Work of Paul Rand」，收集了他超過一百五十件、長達六十年設計生涯的作品，從早期設計的雜誌封面、40年代到50年代在 William H. Weintraub 時期的廣告設計、風格獨具的書籍和包裝設計，到廣為人知的企業標誌，如此完整且難得的展覽，錯過真的太可惜了！只是閉展期限在即，要飛去紐約又必須考慮時間金錢，所以在此搜集了一些展覽內所拍攝的圖片及介紹連結，透過別人的眼睛來一窺 Paul Rand 作品之中大膽且全方面的設計思維，間接感受他如何透過設計串連內容和形式。
Paul Rand 可說是二十世紀最具影響力的平面設計師之一，當時他將前衛藝術運動中的立體主義和建構主義帶進美國的平面設計，大膽的使用不同的媒材、顏色組合、字體和手寫的 Lettering，為廣告帶來令人意象深刻的視覺印象，同時間也透過設計替企業解決問題，從他為 IBM 所設計的企業標誌系統，到 Westinghouse、UPS 還有 Steve Jobs 創立的 NeXT 所設計的 LOGO，都是廣為人知的經典案例；他的設計哲學，是從我開始修習設計以來，一直奉如圭臬，除此之外，存在他設計之中聰詰且獨特的幽默感，也是我個人非常喜愛且佩服的，就如同前 IBM 的品牌資深經理 Randy Golden 在《Working With Rand》中所提到的 IBM 字謎（Eye, bee, and M）就是最好的一個例子。
