Sat down with local media today to talk about the Resilience Budget that Heng Swee Keat announced in Parliament yesterday, and what lies ahead as the COVID-19 pandemic turns the world upside down.
We are heading into the storm with a major $55 billion package to help save jobs and businesses, support households, and keep our economy going. If the situation worsens, we are ready to do more.
The impact on our economy has been huge. This is only the second time ever we are drawing on our reserves. The last time was for the Global Financial Crisis in 2009. We will be drawing up to $17 billion to fund the support measures, more than triple what was drawn in 2009.
I have no illusions that this will be all we need. Nobody can tell what lies ahead. COVID-19 has shown starkly how vulnerable we are, and how our existential threats essentially remain the same, despite Singapore going from third world to first. The COVID-19 pandemic will be the formative experience for this generation of Singaporeans. If we remain vigilant, resolute, and united, I am confident we will get through this together.

*"What made you most happy in life?"*
什麼事讓你這一生最快樂？
The millionaire said:
富豪說：
I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the true happiness.
我一生中經歷了四個階段，最後終於了解到真正的快樂。
The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage I did not get the happiness
第一個階段是累積財富和權勢，但我沒得到真正的快樂。
Then the second stage of collecting valuable items. But I realized that the effect of this is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things don't last long.
第二個階段是收購會升值的東西。但我愈來愈意識到，這些值錢的東西，它們的影響力是短暫的，光澤也持續不長。
Then came the third stage of getting big projects. Like buying a football team, buying a tourist resort, etc. But even here I did not get the happiness, which I had imagined.
接下來就是第三個階段，我可以主導大型方案。比如：買一整個足球隊， 買ㄧ整個度假村等大型的計劃。就算這樣，我也沒有得到我想像中的快樂。
The fourth time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchairs for disabled. I immediately bought them... But my friend insisted that I accompany him and hand over the wheelchairs to the disabled children. I got ready...
I gave these chairs to the needy children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces. I saw them all sitting on chairs, moving around and having fun... It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot.
One of the kids grabbed my legs while I was leaving the place. I gently tried to free my legs but the child stared at my face...
I bent down and asked the child: Do you need anything else?
第四個階段，一位好友建議我買輪椅送給殘障人士，我馬上買了。
但我的朋友堅持要我陪他，並親手將輪椅送給殘障的兒童。
我就做了⋯⋯。
我親手將輪椅給那些需要的孩子們時，在他們的臉上，我看見特別快樂的光芒。我看見他們全坐在輪椅上，快活的四處轉動。很有趣⋯好像他們到了一個野餐的地方⋯
當我要離開時，有一個孩子緊緊抱住我的雙腿。我本來試著慢慢把腿移開，但這孩子卻一直瞪著我的臉⋯
我只好彎下腰來問他「你還需要什麼嗎？」
The answer of the child not only made me happy but also changed my life completely.
The child said *"I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognize you and thank you once again"*
他的回答也完全改變了我的人生觀。
那個小孩說：
《我想要記住您的臉，這樣等我到了天堂，還能認出您，並且再次謝謝您。》
That was the happiest moment of my life.’
那是我這輩子最快樂的時刻。

Ello Ello everyone!
Here is my 15th Week Pregnancy Vlog! We're fully caught up now! Only a few more weeks to go until we can find out whether we're having a boy or girl! Ahhh!
No wonder they say the 2nd trimester is the best one. Bump is at a stage where it's obvious that I'm pregnant but I don't look massive yet. I still got all my energy and I'm enjoying the thick hair & strong nails ^^ My bones are clicking all over though... The baby gas is back too...
