Urgent Help Needed!
A single mother from Afghanistan with 5 children is in urgent need of support. The family used to live in Saudi Arabia as Asylum Seekers for many years, all her kids were born and raised in Saudi Arabia. The father was doing carpet business here in Malaysia and he would go visit his family from time to time. Last year, he had a heart attack when he was in Saudi for a visit. Sadly he passed away leaving his wife and 5 children. After he passed away, the government denied their visa and they were asked to pay for the visa and it was too expensive. They were required to pay for taxes too so they sold everything they have and left Saudi Arabia to Malaysia because Malaysia is one of the countries that accepted them.
They came here and were hoping to get some of the money from the business partner of her late-husband. But they were cheated and no money was given to them.
They got some help from kind people and offered them a place to stay temporarily in Ampang. They tried to register under UNHCR as refugees but got rejected due to some passport and visa issues. Therefore, all children are unable to attend school for almost a year.
We are doing this campaign to help this family with the following:
1- School for the children.
Al-Aqsa School has agreed to take them in next week to start a new year, but we must pay registration fees which is RM1200 for all 4 children. And then monthly fees RM300 for each child.
2- Cheap house for rent around Ampang and KL. (budget between RM600-800)
3- Food basket and grocery
4- Some allowance for other needs.
5- Job for the mother and eldest son (18 years old)
This case has been verified and the family is in urgent need of help.
Please support this family, any amount of donations is highly appreciated as little as RM10 or more would mean a lot to the family.
