I put on mascara today to celebrate the opening of Phase 2!
I'm excited that i can finally get a bit of normalcy back into my life, and start planning for some stuff that I've put on hold during CB. I can finally start swimming again, test drive for a new car, shop for baby stuff, but mostly I'm looking forward to eating a bowl of piping hot food!
Frankly, i don't miss the traffic on the road, neither will i miss the air pollution.
But if anything, this CB has really shown me that 'No man is an island'. We long for human touch. We need physical connection. This kind of intimacy, no matter how advance the technology is, will never be able to satisfy.
For now, and for God knows how long, we wouldn't have an ideal situation that will please everybody. But i celebrate every little progress. I celebrate the joy Phase 2 brings to many. Even if this may be just temporary, it's still nice to see people feeling excited with the desire to connect again. That being said, we should be cautious when we are out. The more people there are out there, also means a higher chance of spreading the virus. Put on your mask back on after every meal and sanitize your hands regularly. With freedom comes responsibility. It is definitely our duty to be responsible.
I cannot further emphasise how we Human are a bunch of very resilient and adaptable beings. We are able to alter our mindset to adjust into different situations and environment.
We don't know what tomorrow's going to bring. Today, let's choose to celebrate the present, instead of worrying about the future.

I'm so pleasantly overwhelmed by the large number of congratulatory messages that came in since the pregnancy announcement was made yesterday!
Sorry i am unable to reply to every kind individual.
But the enormous amount of love was truly felt and received by Baby and myself. I havent felt her movement until 2 days ago, but it was a tiny one (magical nonetheless!!). But this morning, she's been wriggling nonstop. I constantly feel bubbles in my tummy. (Awww🥰) I think she is very excited with the announcement too!
Now that the secret is out, I'd also like to apologise to friends whom I've avoided during my first trimester. Being a bad liar, i didn't know how to hide my pregnancy news. So i had to succumb to escaping! Haha! So Sorry! Meet up after CB without alcohol, thanks!
On a more serious note, I have nv realized the power of motherhood community until now. Women are such amazing creatures! Friends and strangers alike, have all so generously offered their advice and shared their journeys with me, making me feel so assured. Also thank you for the brands and companies that have reached out to me so far! I know baby and i will be in good hands! So much love and gratitude for all of u. As if I'm not feeling positive enough, im now almost bursting with joy!! Haha
Many women also wrote in to share their woes with me. Unlike what we assumed, pregnancy is not always easy. I went through my journey of fertility checks, fibroids removal surgery and TCM (a story I'll share in detail another time). I'm lucky to be where I'm at today. But whatever the situation, it's impt to stay positive. Stress is inevitable, but be mindful not to let that take over your life and your relationship.
Once again, big thanks to the love. I'm feeling so blessed, truly.
