Dash helping me to sing Top Of The World by The Carpenters. ☺️☺️☺️
I love this song because my own mom used to sing this to me when I was young (although her lyrics were pretty gibberish. I don't blame her as they didn't have Internet back then to google lyrics. Can you imagine?? Haha)
I was just telling @cheeserland who has a 3 day old baby ☺️ that whatever she sings to the newborn, even though they don't react, you can rest assured they heard you loud and clear and are processing it in their little brains. She asked me how I know.
I know because at 3 months onwards you realise baby starts smiling and laughing whenever you sing a familiar song.
Suddenly at 8 months old Dash sang his first song: "row row row (your boat)". And now he can fill in certain words in almost all the songs sang and played to him.
In years to come he will be singing the full song with a dance accompaniment perhaps... Then playing an instrument along with the song... Then singing it to his own children. I feel old and will stop here.
Ps: in case you couldn't quite hear him, the words Dash filled in are "a'looking" and "world".
