隨手拿起圖書館借來的繪本《鱷魚阿姨》與孩子閱讀，正仔邊讀邊發現作者的畫風很眼熟，「是 the Paper Dolls 啊」他猛然想起，「媽咪，the Paper Dolls 的作者是 Rebecca Cobb 嗎？」「作者是 Julia Donaldson，但她不是繪者呢，可能真的是 Rebecca Cobb 也說不定。」正仔立即入書房找書，然後他找到了，也證明了他說對了，果然是同一人。

孩子觀察力敏銳、記性也很好，常常有很多大人覺察不到的有趣發現。

不上學不外出的這段期間，我家孩子根本不會感到「悶」，他們自有自己方式打發時間，基本上午餐後他們多半一直打打鬧鬧追追逐逐，家裡長期處於作戰的混亂狀態。雖說，Play is our brain's favorite way of learning / Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning / Children learn as they play，但見著三個孩子整個下午，玩到這般瘋狂，忍不住在認真想，我是否應該給孩子安排多些學習活動呢，又剛巧這時網上流傳的「停課不停學」活動一大堆，隨手也找到幾個有益身心的、具教育性的好例子。

但我發現孩子真的有自己的安排，玩夠了就自動自覺地安靜下來去看書，傍晚時分正仔突然自己在 Roald Dahl 的 collection box set 裡找來了 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory，專注地一口氣把書讀完，意猶未盡，還要在本應睡覺的時間找來 Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator 繼續閱讀，到差不多 12 時，他已讀了一大半，但在我不停催促的情況下，只有乖乖上床，明早才可以繼續。

這段日子，看似孩子的無聊作怪時間很多（非常多！），但其實他們閱讀的時間也很多，正仔每天也完成至少一兩本書，孖仔就靠我來伴讀，但也因著哥哥不用做功課或上興趣班，我們的生活節奏緩慢下來，讓我有更多時間與好心情跟孩子享受閱讀，也玩了很多 board games，這樣子的生活很不錯的。

其實，有沒有「不停學」都沒打緊，每天有閱讀就好。孩子本來就有自主學習的動力，不催迫就會看得到。
