【艾瑪華森的另類禮服：回收寶特瓶】
昨天，在美國紐約大都會藝術博物館慈善晚會「Met Gala」的紅毯上，英國女星艾瑪華森（Emma Watson）身著一套由回收寶特瓶製成的禮服。
小細節的部分，如拉鍊是用回收金屬物所製成，而內襯的緊身胸衣也是用有機棉所織成。

Thank you Calvin Klein & Eco Age for collaborating with me and creating the most amazing gown. I am proud to say it is truly sustainable and represents a connection between myself and all the people in the supply chain who played a role in creating it.
The body of the gown is crafted from three different fabrics, all woven from yarns made from recycled plastic bottles (!). Plastic is one of the biggest pollutants on the planet. Being able to repurpose this waste and incorporate it into my gown for the #MetGala proves the power that creativity, technology and fashion can have by working together.
Each and every part of this beautiful gown has been produced with sustainability in mind, even the components that you can’t see. The zippers on the gown are made from recycled materials and the inner bustier has been crafted from organic cotton. Conventional cotton is one of the highest impact crops, using more chemicals than any other crop in the world. Organic cotton on the other hand, is grown without the use of the most harmful chemicals and is therefore better for the environment and people working with cotton. The organic silk used in the lining of my gown is certified to a standard that guarantees the highest environmental and social standards throughout production. It is my intention to repurpose elements of the gown for future use. The trousers can be worn on their own, as can the bustier, the train can be used for a future red carpet look… I’m looking forward to experimenting with this. If someone said: "Your company has become irrelevant."
How would you react?
In 1997, people told Steve Jobs that Apple had become irrelevant…
And he took it to heart. But not in the way you might imagine.
You see, instead of brushing those comments off, he took the time to ask 'why.' And here's what he discovered:
Those people were right. Apple wasn't relevant everywhere anymore...
But, that's not where the story ends. You see, he also discovered that Apple was still highly relevant to 2 types of customers:
Those in the creative industry and those in education.
Armed with that information, he honed in on those two market sectors and turned the company around in a big way. Since then…
Apple has constantly adapted to changing economies with great success.
Now, not everyone can be like Steve Jobs. And that's perfectly alright. In this uncertain world, however, you might feel that your company is irrelevant too...
But what if it isn't?
By taking the time to look into it and asking ‘why,’ you might discover that:
- your audience has changed,
- your clients’ needs have changed,
- you can repurpose your products and services to cater to the current climate.
For example, even though Tesla is an electric car company, its factories are producing face masks and gowns right now…
Similarly, distilleries are making hand sanitizers...
Restaurants that deliver are adding grocery items to their menus...
And gyms are transitioning to virtual, do-it-at-home classes.
One thing is for sure:
The world is never going back to how it used to be. So what will you do to stay relevant in an uncertain world?

DIY Hair Hacks
These are hair hacks I actually do. The overnight no heat curls is so convenient if you're going to an event early in the morning and don't have time to do your hair. Just do it at night and when you wake up, you'll wake up to beautiful curls and only have to worry about putting on your makeup. With the DIY sock bun, you literally take an old sock, cut the end and roll it into a bun. It's a very good way to repurpose old socks. If you're in a hurry and want to curl your hair, divide hair into right and left, tie it, take your curling iron and curl until where the hair tie is. It's fast and easy because you won't have to worry about curling your hair in layers. To avoid hat hair, just part your hair to the opposite side (or to the side your normally don't have your hair line), put on your hat, and put your hair back to the original hair line once your done.
The last hair hack is the DIY sea salt spray. The ingredients are:
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp styling gel
warm water
Mix all ingredients together and pour into your empty squeeze bottle.

3:32 Avoid hat hair
4:20 DIY sea salt spray
