研究:經常煲劇可增強推理能力!

有時遇到一套非常好的劇集時,大家都可能忍不住會每晚「煲劇」到夜深!可能有些人會認為煲劇是一項很浪費時間又無益的消遣活動,不過研究卻發現事實並不是如此!

外國學術期刊 Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity and the Arts 就對煲劇的人作出了研究,他們把觀察對象分為「觀看電視劇」及「觀看生態紀錄片」兩組,電視劇組的人分別是看The West Wing、Mad Men,而另一組則觀看生態紀錄片Shark Week。

研究結果發現,觀看電視劇組別的人比起觀看生態紀錄片的人,在智力測驗中的結果竟然比較出色!之後在一份關於人物表情和心理活動的測驗中,要求測試者透過人物表情猜想人物的心理狀態,結果發現觀看電視劇的測試對象更擁有更高的同理心和同情心,表現比普通人更好!

特別是在觀看劇情片的時候,觀眾會不自覺地對往後的劇情作出推測,這不但可以促進腦部思考的速度,更會增強你的批判思考和判斷能力,腦筋也會更加靈活自如!

如果你是電影迷,你就知道一部好電影可以激發出什麼樣的情緒反應:讓觀眾為有悲劇性格缺陷的角色掬一把同情淚,或是在勵志故事中振奮昂揚。因此,當下一次你看電影時,看完後請花幾分鐘回想一下你在不同場景裡感受到的情緒。請自問:這部電影對我有何影響,原因何在?這麼做可以幫助你更理解自己的情緒反應。
🎵聽音樂
音樂能對我們的情緒展現魔力。下一次當你開啟播放清單時,請注意每一首曲子激發出的感覺,並試著判斷為何這些歌能引起你的共鳴。
📖閱讀
最近的研究指出,閱讀小說會對心智產生一種獨特的效應。當你沉浸在故事裡,想像力也跟著延伸了,讓你把自己投射到角色上面,理解他們的想法、感受與動機。這可以培養同理心,讓你可以運用在日常生活中。

研究人員以系統化的方式審視三十六項評估運動或體能活動情境中的EQ相關研究,他們發現,身體更能順利因應壓力反應、善用心理技能以及用較正面的態度看待體能活動等等,都和高EQ息息相關。此外,此篇論文的作者群主張,參與運動項目的嚴格訓練、面對競爭壓力的人,展現出有能力可理解與管控自身與他人的情緒。
