//The international change has been driven to some degree by the US turn against China, and its keenness to make others pick a side. But it is above all the result of Beijing’s own actions. China took a clear turn towards increasing internal repression and external forcefulness well before Mr Osborne’s declaration of a golden era.//

MOTIVATION MONDAY! We know it's late monday here, but we're still hitting Monday across the world.. Here's a but of motivation to get you started this week!

In a previous mini documentary by Jeff Sainlar he focuses on perseverance and a never quit attitude. When life dealt Michael Coe a bad hand, he was not going to let that be his defining moment. After being in a serious motorcycle accident, Coe was fighting to survive in a coma and living on life support for a month. The damage from the wreck caused Coe to lose his right arm. "I chose to persevere because I didn't really have another other choice," said Coe. "If it's something I want to do, I'm not going to not do it because of the handicap."

The former amateur boxer credits his love for boxing and fitness training as his salvation. "It be easy to wallow in self-pity after the accident," said Coe.

Coe is currently involved in Muay Thai, boxing, fitness and jiu jitsu classes at Tiger Muay Thai.

"I have no illusions or aspirations of being the best in the world," said Coe. "I just want to be the best I can be."

The Pacific Century podcast was launched on March 1, 2019 and releases episodes on a sporadic basis, with 18 aired to date, ranging in length from 33-72 minutes. The program hosts discussions on political, economic and social issues in China and Asia, with a particular focus on US policy in the region. Previous guests have included former US national security advisor H. R. McMaster and US Representative Mike Gallagher.

After playing poorly in the first half, the New York Knicks went with a smaller lineup and came up with their biggest win of the season.

A buzzer-beating 3-pointer by 5-foot-9 Nate Robinson lifted the Knicks to a 105-102 overtime victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.

Stephon Marbury scored a season-high 33 points and rookie Channing Frye added 21 points and 11 rebounds for New York, which rallied from a 16-point deficit in the third quarter and then squandered a nine-point lead in the fourth.

"We got really aggressive, especially when we went small," Knicks coach Larry Brown said. "We got loose balls, we didn't turn the ball over and we got second shots. We really hurt them on the boards."

Allen Iverson had 40 points and 10 assists, and Chris Webber scored 19 points for Philadelphia, which has lost four of five. Webber tipped in Iverson's miss with .6 seconds left to send the game into overtime.

The 76ers, who trailed by six in overtime, tied it on Iverson's 3-pointer with 6.2 seconds remaining. The Knicks pushed the ball up the court and Robinson took a 23-foot jumper from the right side just before the buzzer.

"I just knew if I get it up high enough I would have a good chance of making it," Robinson said. "So I just shot it hard and let it go."

"The sky's the limit for him," Iverson said. "He's a tough guard. He's got the best coach in the world on his side."

New York, outplayed in the first half, outhustled and outworked the 76ers for a key 16½-minute stretch in the second half.

After Kyle Korver's 3-pointer pushed Philadelphia's lead to 63-47 a minute into the third quarter, New York went on an 18-2 run to tie the game at 65 on Marbury's short jumper with 3:27 remaining in the period.

"At halftime, coach got on us because he felt like we had been playing very sloppy," Knicks rookie Channing Frye said. "We got out in the second half and took care of the ball, played some defense and made some shots."

Iverson's 20-footer briefly regained the lead for the Sixers before Marbury hit a 3-pointer to give New York its first lead of the game. Marbury's 22-footer increased the Knicks' lead to 70-67 with 1:53 left in the quarter.

"They made adjustments," Webber said. "They just played better than we did in the second half. But there's no excuse for a (16-point) lead going down like that. It hurts when you play that well together in the first half, and in the second half you don't do it."

New York pushed its lead to 83-74 on Robinson's 3-pointer with more than 5 minutes left in the game. However, Iverson scored 10 points during a 13-4 run to tie the game at 87 with 1:42 left.

The Knicks regained the lead 18 seconds later on a goaltending call on Samuel Dalembert, and Jamal Crawford's turnaround jumper with 47 seconds left gave New York an 91-88 lead.

Webber's hook shot 12 seconds later made it a one-point game, before Marbury followed with a driving layup to make it 93-90 with 19.9 seconds remaining.

"They played better offensively and we did a bad job guarding," Iverson said. "We had a chance to put them away but we have been going through this the last couple of games, having leads and giving them up."

Andre Iguodala's two free throws pulled Philadelphia within 93-92 with 10.8 seconds left.

Crawford made one free throw with 8.7 seconds left, and Webber's tip sent the game to overtime.

Game notes
Frye made his first NBA start. ... Penny Hardaway, Matt Barnes, and Jerome James were inactive for the Knicks. ... New York, which had lost three of its previous four, won its second straight at home. ... Dalembert made his season debut after missing the first 11 games with an injured right quadriceps. ... Jamal Mashburn, Louis Williams and Den Gai were inactive for the Sixers. ... Anthony Fedorov, a finalist from last season's "American Idol," sang the national anthem before the game. ... Celebrities in attendance included former tennis star John McEnroe, and actors Edward Norton, Rosario Dawson, Chazz Palminteri and Steve Schirripa.

Five years after the events of Dead Rising, former motocross champion Chuck Greene is in the fictional casino town of Fortune City, Nevada, to take part in Terror Is Reality, a controversial sports entertainment game show where contestants kill zombies for money and fame. Chuck needs the prize money to buy Zombrex (a daily medication that suppresses the zombification process) for his daughter Katey, who was bitten by her zombified mother during a previous outbreak in Las Vegas when she was only 4 years old. While backstage after the show, the show's supply of zombies is released; Chuck rescues Katey and makes his way to an emergency shelter, which is sealed after their arrival. Raymond Sullivan (the only security guard to reach the shelter alive) is initially reluctant to let the infected Katey in, but Chuck promises to keep her supplied with Zombrex until the military arrives in three days.

Iverson 'insulted' by decision to have him come off bench

The bell sounded on Round III of the Allen Iverson-Chris Ford struggle Monday, and it looks like this one could go the distance.

When is that? Possibly April 14, the last day of the regular season.

Iverson, who sat out the Philadelphia 76ers' 85-69 drubbing by the Detroit Pistons on Sunday after Ford told him he would have to come off the bench, said Monday that he was "insulted" by the interim coach's decision.

"A lot of people might look at it like it's a selfish thing or something like that," Iverson said. "Why wouldn't I start? I'm the franchise player here. I don't know any franchise players that come off the bench. I don't know any Olympian that comes off the bench. I don't know any All-Star that comes off the bench. I don't know any former MVP that comes off the bench. I don't know any three-time scoring champion that comes off the bench.

"I don't know any first team All-NBA (player) that comes off the bench. Why Allen Iverson? Why should I come off the bench? ... I think it is an insult to me. Who I am as a player, who I am to this organization, who I've been to this organization, that's an insult to me to come off the bench if I'm a starter."

Indeed, a lot of Philadelphia fans did see it as a selfish thing on Iverson's part. In a Philly.com poll Monday, 69% of more than 5,000 respondents feel Iverson was in the wrong, 19% say the Sixers were wrong and 12% fault both sides.

Iverson, 28, averaging 27.0 points a game, had missed the 76ers' previous three games with swelling in his right knee. Ford was informed about Iverson's decision to play less than an hour before game time and told him he could come off the bench.

Ford said Monday: "I made my decision, and he made his. ... I don't have any tension."

But there is tension.

Iverson and Ford have been at odds since Ford replaced Randy Ayers 15 games ago.

In Round I Ford benched Iverson in the first game after the All-Star break. Iverson said his flight was delayed leaving Los Angeles and he missed practice in Denver.

In Round II, Ford fined Iverson when he did not call Ford himself to inform the coach that he would not be at a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Feb. 29 because he was sick.

Philadelphia is playing about .500 basketball (7-8) under Ford, and the Sixers are 3-1 in their last four games without Iverson.

Despite a disappointing season — Philadelphia (28-39) is 11 games under .500 — the 76ers are in the playoff race, just two games behind the Miami Heat for the last spot in the East.

Billy King, the 76ers' president and general manager, said Iverson wouldn't be fined. With 15 regular-season games left, King might have to do more to resolve the situation.
