NTU COVID-19 Prevention Message—Pandemic Prevention Measures Following Release of Travel History of an Airline Pilot Tested Positive in Australia

全校教職員工生大家好:

因應衛福部公布某航空公司機師於澳洲檢出COVID-19陽性,及其在臺接觸者檢驗確診,中央流行疫情指揮中心公布相關活動史,提醒各位教職員工生須留意是否曾於所公布的時間地點有所活動。

若有,應按照衛福部要求進行自主健康管理14日,期間不得到校上班上課。且若於 4/30前 (台北清真寺)或 5/3前(桃園)出現發燒、上呼吸道、腹瀉、嗅味覺異常等症狀,請配戴醫用口罩,儘速至就近社區採檢院所就醫,不得搭乘大眾運輸工具。

此外,如單位內有符合上述情形的教職員工生,也請防疫聯絡人至「臺大校園傳染病管制網」(https://my.ntu.edu.tw/ntuwdc/)的「校園健康管理通報系統」做通報。通報時,「通報管控項目」請選取「航空公司機師感染事件通報」(已預設)。

Dear NTU students and colleagues,
.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) has released the travel history of an airline pilot following a report issued by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) that the said pilot had tested positive for COVID-19 in Australia and whose contacts in Taiwan had also tested positive. NTU students and colleagues are advised to check if they have ever engaged in activities at the specified locations and times.

For those who have, please carry out the 14-day self-health management as requested by the MOHW and refrain from entering the university campus to attend or teach classes. If you are suffering from the following symptoms such as fever, respiratory complications, diarrhea, and abnormality of smell and taste before April 30 (Taipei Grand Mosque) or May 3 (Taoyuan), please wear a medical mask at all times, immediately seek medical attention at a nearby hospital for COVID-19 testing, and avoid taking public transportation.

Last but not least, should there be students or colleagues that fit the above description, the pandemic prevention contact person(s) in each academic or administrative office must file a report via the “Campus Health Management Reporting System” at the NTU Website for Disease Control. While filing a report, please scroll down the “Reporting type” and select “Airline pilot infection incident” (selection preset).

[TAIPEI - 漁厝台菜海鮮餐廳 / Yu Cuo Tai Cai Seafood Restaurant ☺️]
感謝老饕酒友帶路,繼先進和日海後,慶幸又多了一間很不錯的海鮮店可常去。有點不一樣的是,這家的菜比熱炒海鮮店更費功夫,菜單及價錢要先定好,所以可以歸類為台式海鮮餐廳。老闆是台南人,菜也有台南菜式風格。
當晚的菜都很不錯,有兩道特別喜歡。干煸麻油雞非常入味,皮酥肉嫩。透抽米粉非常鮮甜,酒過三巡後吃很暖胃,不能不追加。蒸魚熟度剛好,但蒸魚豉油略為不夠而且不夠鮮,但在台灣來說已算不錯。
最近熱愛请酒的我,雖然知道生酒越早喝越好,但實驗性地帶去一支低溫熟成四年的1升瓶九洲佐賀名酒造富久千代的鍋島特別版里鍋島生酒。顏色變成淡黃,味道有帶微氧化酒口感,是我喜歡的風格。
最好玩的是老闆娘是愛酒之人,看到帶來的民國82年金門老高樑眼睛發亮。到晚飯後半部開喝高樑的时候,她就说终于等到了,然后一杯接一杯跟每人逐一敬酒。她只喝高樑,最后差不多半瓶都给她喝掉!
Thanks to fellow foodie wine buddy, I’ve discovered another seafood restaurant with decent food where I can visit regularly.
Unlike the usual casual seafood joints, the dishes of this joint requires more effort to prepare and menu has to be preset, so it should be categorised as Taiwanese style seafood restaurant. Owner chef is from Tainan and you can tell the style from the dishes.
The overall food quality of the evening is above average and there two particular dishes I like a lot. The skin of the slow roasted sesame oil chicken is very crispy and meat still very tender, and the taste of the sauce is well infused into the meat. The squid vermicelli soup was so tasty having it after drinking the whole evening.
I have been getting more enthusiastic about sake recently. Although knowing that the usual practice is to drink nana sake as young as possible, I like to experiment hence brought a special edition nama sake of the famous Nabeshima brewery from Saga perfecture Kyushu. Colour of the sake turned slightly yellow and palate became rounder and hint of slight oxidation, the style that I like.
The fun part of the evening is to find out the owner’s wife loves to drink, and only like songhum (gaoliang). When we started drinking the vintage 1993 during the latter part of the dinner, she said she has waited the whole night. Then she started drinking one shot after another, toasting to everyone individually. I think she ended up drinking half of the whole bottle!
