疫情期間在紐約可能還有許多華裔移民因為語言關係對於要如何去登記施打疫苗或是到疫苗施打場地時不得其門而入。在紐約有一群年輕朋友組成的義工組織「翻譯苗(Chinese Translation Pot)」都在幫助這些需要語言協助華人，讓他們能順利施打COVID-19疫苗。隨著現在紐約已經開放所有成年人可以登記施打，50歲以上的民眾也可以隨時walk-in不用先登記，「翻譯苗」也需要更多的翻譯志工加入。目前在Elmhusrt的Queens Center Mall以及在Flushing的South Asian Council for Social Service Pop-Up這兩個地方需要翻譯志工。有興趣的朋友可以到文末兩的連結登記或是知道有誰願意幫忙可以幫忙傳遞這訊息。

We’ve partnered with a number of vaccination sites across the city, most recently the Queens Mall (formerly Modell’s) as we as the South Asian Council for Social Services pop-up vaccination site. Both sites are in need of volunteers especially during the weekdays. If you could help us spread the word with your network of followers that’d be wonderful. We are just grateful to have anyone in the community able to volunteer their time and effort, and help get our city vaccinated.

Plants vs Zombies là một trò chơi điện tử dạng phòng thủ tháp (tower defense) được PopCap Games phát triển và phát hành lần đầu cho hệ điều hành Microsoft Windows và OS X. 不同地方的人 用當地的語言思考,日本人聽到的是日文,台灣人聽到的是中文
使用的壯聲詞(擬聲詞)都不一樣~ 非常有趣!!
這次特別找了日本帥哥朋友一起做了一個日文跟中文的狀聲詞(擬聲詞)比較
一邊學狀聲詞(擬聲詞)也可以學中文日文哦!! 和Mao一起用語言交朋友 !

台湾中国語と日本語の擬音語比較！
日本に来てから全世界の猫はミャオミャオという鳴き声をしていないと分かった。
日本人の猫は日本語を話している、ニャン～と鳴く
そして、日本救急車はビーボービーボーとしていて、中国語のオーイーオーイーと違う
擬音語は本当に地域と言語によって変わりますね！
違う地域の人は当地の言語で考える。日本人は日本語で聞くが、台湾人は台湾の中国語で聞く。そして、擬音語も変わる。めっちゃ面白い！！
今回は日本人のいけめんアキと一緒に擬音語について台湾中国語と日本を比較する。
他の国の擬音語を学びながら、台湾中国語と日本語を学びましょう～

Comparison of onomatopoeia between Chinese and Japanese!
After I went to Japan, I realized not all the cats on the earth say “meow”
Japanese cats speak Japanese, and they say “Niang”
And ambulance doesn't say O-Iii O-Iii like Chinese , it's Bee-bo! Bee-bo! in Japanese.
Onomatopoeia really changes depends on regions and languages!!
People from places use different language to think. Japanese hear sound in Japanese, and Taiwanese hear in Chinese. They both use different onomatopoeia to describe the same sound. It's very interesting!!!
This time, I've invited a handsome Japanese friend to do a comparison with me of onomatopoeia in Chinese and Japanese. Let's learn onomatopoeia and meanwhile learn Chinese and Japanese!
Let's make friends by learning languages with Mao!!
