[News] ผู้กำกับ The Last of Us 2 กล่าวว่า การหาเรื่องราวใหม่ที่น่าสนใจพอจะนำมาทำภาค 3 ต่อ เป็นเรื่องยากที่ยิ่งกว่าตอนทำภาค 2 เสียอีก

The Last of Us Part 2 เพิ่งจะวางจำหน่ายเมื่อวันที่ 19 มิ.ย. ที่ผ่านมา และด้วยความสำเร็จอย่างล้นหลามของตัวเกม ที่มันขึ้นแท่นเกม Exclusive บน PS4 ที่ทำยอดขายได้เร็วที่สุดใน UK นั่นอาจจะไม่ใช่เรื่องน่าแปลกใจนัก ที่ Sony อาจจะอยากให้ Naughty Dog ทำภาคต่อของเกมนี้ในอนาคต

แต่สำหรับ Neil Druckmann ผู้ร่วมสร้างซีรีส์และผู้กำกับร่วมของ The Last of Us ทั้ง 2 ภาคแล้ว ดูจะเป็นเรื่องยากมากๆ ไม่ใช่เรื่องว่ามันจะขายได้หรือไม่ หากแต่เป็นการหาเรื่องราวที่น่าสนใจมาเล่าในภาคต่อไป

จากในบทสัมภาษณ์กับทาง Indie Wire เมื่อถามว่าเป็นไปได้มั้ยที่จะมี The Last of Us Part 3 คุณ Druckmann อธิบายว่า ภาคต่อของ The Last of Us จะต้องผ่านการทดสอบเหมือน Part 2 ก่อน ไม่ว่าทาง Naughty Dog จะหาวิธีใหม่และน่าสนใจมาเล่าเรื่องราวแทนที่จะใช้วิธีการเล่าแบบเดิมๆ ได้หรือไม่ และจากที่ Druckmann กล่าวมา Part 2 ก็ถือว่ายากมากพอแล้ว และจะยิ่งยากกว่าใน Part 3 พร้อมกล่าวว่า "ในตอนนี้" เขายังนึกไม่ออกว่าจะทำแบบนั้นได้ยังไง

"ผมคิดว่า การทดสอบว่า เราควรจะทำ Part 3 หรือไม่ ก็จำเป็นจะต้องมีการทดสอบเหมือนสิ่งที่เราเคยทำไปใน Part 2 ด้วยเกมภาคแรก มันไม่ได้มีความคาดหวังใดๆ และเหมือนว่าเราอยากทำอะไรก็ทำได้ แต่ตอนนี้ เราได้วางรากฐาน ด้วยตัวละครบางตัว ธีมและกระบวนการบางอย่าง ที่มันเป็นตัวตัดสินว่า เราควรทำ Part 2 ต่อมั้ย เราจำเป็นจะต้องทำอะไรบางอย่างที่ไม่ใช่แค่แฟนๆ รู้สึกสบายใจ แต่ต้องทำอะไรที่มันเข้ากับอารมณ์ความรู้สึกหลักที่เราได้เจอในเกมภาคแรก และถ้าหาสิ่งนั้นไม่เจอ เราก็ไม่มีเหตุผลที่จะทำ Part 3 ต่อ"

"และการหาสิ่งนั้นให้เจอเพื่อทำภาคต่อ จะยิ่งยากกว่าที่เคยเป็นในเกมภาคแรก และมันจะยิ่งยากขึ้นไปอีก ในการกลับไปสู่โลกนั้น แล้วหาวิธีในการทำให้มันแตกต่างไปจากเดิม มันก็มีหลายๆ สิ่งที่คุณเคยเห็นไปแล้ว ไม่ว่าจะเกี่ยวกับเรื่องราวปุมหลัง หรือเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับว่าการระบาดเกิดขึ้นได้ยังไง ดังนั้น พวกเราจึงจำเป็นที่จะต้องหาทางว่า จะสร้างประสบการณ์ใหม่ๆ ที่มันเข้ากับความรู้สึกสะเทือนใจกับเรื่องราวเหล่านี้ได้อย่างไร และผมก็ยังไม่รู้จะทำยังไงเหมือนกันในตอนนี้"

[News] Director The Last of Us 2 says finding a new story that is interesting enough to do part 3 is more difficult than part 2

The Last of Us Part 2 just released on 19 June. Oh my god. In the past, and with the overwhelming success of the game, Exclusive on PS4 who made the fastest sales in UK. That may not be a surprise that Sony might want Naughty Dog to make a sequel to this game in the future.

But for Neil Druckmann, the co-creator of The Last of Us series and co-director of The Last of Us, it seems very difficult. It's not whether it's sold or not, but it's finding interesting stories to tell in the next part.
