Spent a fruitful day in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday. Called on President U Htin Kyaw and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

Myanmar is an old friend and partner of Singapore. We mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year, but historically our ties go further back into colonial times. In fact the same person, Dr William Montgomerie, was appointed by Stamford Raffles to help plan the growing city of Singapore, and later on also planned the city of Rangoon.

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and I witnessed the exchange of diplomatic notes on visa exemption between our two countries. From December, Singaporeans and Myanmars will no longer need visas to visit each other’s countries, for up to 30 days.

經過台日雙方緊密協商，日方同意提供我方124萬劑AZ疫苗，共同對抗武漢肺炎（COVID-19）疫情。疫苗訂已本日(6/4)下午運抵台灣，外交部對於日方的及時伸援，表示由衷感謝。

日方鑑於台灣疫情有擴大趨勢，在日本各界友人熱烈為台灣發聲下，即使日本國內也面臨嚴峻疫情，仍決定提供疫苗協助台灣，發揮人溺己溺、同舟共濟的人道精神，強化台日雙方防疫合作，期能共同克服難關。外交部代表我國政府及人民，向日本政府及各界友人表達誠摯謝忱。

日本台湾交流協会台北事務所の泉裕泰代表は昨日（3日）、日本のアニメ『鬼滅の刃』の物語は私たちに「仲間を信じて一致団結すれば、最後は必ず正義が勝つ」という大事なことを教えてくれているのだとフェイスブックに書き込みました。『鬼滅の刃』には多くの名言があります。今日はこれらの名言を使って、外交部がきょう（4日）発表したニュースリリースを日本の皆様にご紹介しましょう！

「家族も仲間も、強い絆で結ばれていれば、どちらも同じように貴い」

台日双方の緊密な交渉の末、日本政府は台湾にアストラゼネカ製ワクチン124万回分を提供し、台湾と共同で新型コロナウイルスに立ち向かう決意を示した。ワクチンは4日午後、台湾に到着した。外交部（日本の外務省に相当）は、日本が適切なタイミングに支援の手を差し伸べてくれたことに心から感謝している。

「血のつながりがなければ薄っぺらだなんて、そんなことはない！」

日本政府は、台湾で感染拡大が深刻化していることを鑑み、また、日本の各方面から台湾支援の声が上がる中、日本国内の感染状況も厳しい段階であるにも関わらず、ワクチンを提供することで台湾に協力することを決定した。これは「人溺己溺（他人が溺れていることを自分が溺れていることとみなす。つまり、他人の苦しみをわが事ととらえる）」、「同舟共済（同じことにあたっている者たちが力を合わせて難局を乗り切ること）」の人道的精神を発揮し、台湾と日本の感染症対策での協力を強化するものだ。外交部は、わが国の政府および国民を代表し、日本政府および関係者に心から感謝申し上げる。

台湾と日本はもとより緊密な関係にあり、固い友情を築いてきた。災害や事故が発生するたびに互いに支援の手を差し伸べ、「雪中に炭を送る」という行動を繰り返し、長期にわたって支え合いの手本を他国に示してきた。今回、日本政府からワクチンの支援を受けられることは、わが国の感染症対策システムを強化し、国民の健康を守るために大きく役立つことだ。このことはまた、台湾と日本のパートナーシップが「患難真情（まさかのときの友こそ真の友）」、「友誼長青（友好関係が末長く続くこと）」であることを改めて証明した。日本の人々からの心温まる支援を、わが国の政府と国民は永遠に忘れないだろう。

Had a good time catching up with Apple CEO Tim Cook today. It’s been almost 4 years since we met, so we had a lively exchange on how the tech scene has changed since.

Apple has long ties with Singapore, right from the early days of the company. Printed circuit boards for the Apple IIe were made here, as were the candy-coloured iMacs (I wonder how many people still remember these!). While Apple no longer manufactures devices here, many Singaporeans work in Apple locally and around the world, and many more are fans of their gadgets.

Heard that Tim had a makan session with some of our local photographers at Tiong Bahru Market. Hope he gets to experience more of our island during his visit! – LHL

Hey Guys! Long time no hair tutorial ^^.

Here is a life saver hair trick that will save you time in the morning or even for night time. This hairstyle will give you awesome beautiful waves without using damaging hot hair tools.

10 minutes before you sleep is all you'll need for this hairstyle.

You can even wear this hairstyle during the day (such as school) and unravel the braids if you are going somewhere later that day ^^. My best friend does this trick when she stays over at a friends house. This way she won't need to carry straighteners, tongs with her. She can travel light since hair ties are so tight and small.

It is a basic concept and I'm pretty sure a lot of girls braid their hair before sleeping for waves. So therefore this is definitely nothing new. A french braid gives waves for the top layers but they are looser which makes the hairstyle look great.

Your waves should be soft and nicely defined. Your hair should also appear thicker and fuller.

Thanks to my best friend Annie for inspiring me with this hairstyle. I love you big time. Having a blast with you in Hong kong. Going to miss you when you leave for UK again =(.

Ok I know it took me 1000000 years to finally upload this but life has been really crazy for the past month ?
Some notes: I do this on dry hair! Not damp or wet. Also, you can tie a scarf around your head if you're scared it'll move while you're sleeping but I would only recommend this if absolutely necessary; it does reduce volume and I like big waves ?

How are you all holding up? I think I'd be fine if I could go to the gym but staying inside my apartment all day is making me feel really sluggish ? I hope you're all staying safe and healthy though!
Recently, I've been baking to relieve stress but it's actually becoming a problem ? my fridge is full of waffles, mochi, banana bread, and probably apple cobbler by tomorrow if I'm feeling sad enough lol...and I can't even give any of these to my friends anymore bc nobody's leaving the house!! I really am gonna be rolling out of quarantine huh ?
