Throwback 6
I have always wanted to be a teacher/lecturer.
When my mum taught tuition at home, i'll volunteer to help out.
When i was completing my foundation in Uni, i used to travel x3times a week from PJ to Shah Alam to teach tuition at night.
I also spend 2 days a week teaching debating in TKC, commuting from PJ to Nilai. In hindsight, this was one of my most memorable debate experience, ever.
Yes it was illegal then to leave campus, but hey, a man has to pay his bills. I didn't want to be a burden to my parents.
By the second year into Uni, i was already appointed a part-time lecturer for Niche, Advance Debating & Public Speaking in IIUM.
New opportunities came when i started to receive invitations to teach abroad.
No matter where & how far, i'll almost never turn the opportunity down.
I remember once i was invited to run workshops in Lahore, Pakistan. I only told my mum when i was already on the plane & about to depart, as i feared she would block me from leaving as there were a few bombings in Pakistan then.
If we are honest in teaching, we won't just hand-pick countries based on how much they pay or how good they already are.
We owe a duty to help one another climb up.
By the end of my debating career, i have had the privilege to speak/teach/judge in ~25 countries.
Yes, this made me miss a lot of classes (when in uni) but i wouldn't trade the experience i gained with anything else.
Travelling the world to teach made me a global citizen. It opened up my eyes.
When i was appointed Co-Chief Judge for Pan Africans Debating Championship which was held in the City of Limpopo, i met many new friends & empathised with the struggle of debating in Africa.
There were times where the electricity suddenly went off & we had to continue the debates in the dark with candles.
I decided to stay longer to run a few more workshops to help wherever i can.
I will forever cherish the experiences. It made me who i am today.
I'll be hosting #Thunderbold classes on Public Speaking, Debating, Critical Thinking & more, sharing my years of experience.
5 classes(RM200)where 100% of proceeds will go to buy tablets for poor students.

One of my most memorable work in 2019 is Experience Macao - SG, Macao Tourism Malaysia.
Since my last visit to Macao in 1995 (almost 25 years ago), I never thought that Macao would have changed so much over the past two decades! Besides what many people know Macao as the "game" city, this tiny city in the Southern part of China has so much to offer. Entertainment, history, food, culture, sports, & Instagrammable spots there are many surprises in every corners of the city.
Thank you CCTV 中文 for the special feature in this episode. As mentioned in the press, I will be back! :-)
There will be more adventures in 2020... stay tuned...

RITZ-CALRTON LANGKAWI - our first cuti-cuti Malaysia ever since MCO started, which happen to my birthday trip as well.
We went to Greece for my birthday, also where Shengyi proposed to me, last year. You can watch the video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4xcf4OPrG4&t=20s
This year, since it’s impossible to go overseas at the moment, he chose to celebrate my birthday in one of the most beautiful ocean front villa in Malaysia - Ritz Carlton Langkawi.
This ocean front villa, comes with a ocean view infinity private pool with a sundeck. The front of the villa is in full glass wall. Perfect for me who loves the sun, and Shengyi who prefers staying in while enjoying the ocean view + watching me swim at the same time.
With a 3 nights stay, we also enjoy a lavish bubbly buffet breakfast, a bottle of champagne, in room drawn bath with infused oils, and a 60mins time together ocean front massage.
There’s also a private signature dining beyond experience on the beach, while watching the sun sets arranged for my birthday.
I’m thankful that admist of this coronavirus pandemic, we still able to have such beautiful holiday in Malaysia itself.
2020 might not be the best year with all these crisis, but I will always remind myself to count my blessings. Be grateful for all that I have now.
Thank you for making my 2020 birthday such memorable one, ILY, Shengyikoh.

If you're planning to travel around Kyoto, Osaka, or Nara Japan, these are my recommendations.
Even though I was born in Japan, I still enjoy visiting the Kansai Region for it's authenticity unlike Tokyo. I was managed to do all this within 4 days with the help of my friends, and it was honestly one of the most memorable experience. Although the outbreak of Covid 19 (Coronavirus) has hit Japan hard, the cities are functioning like they used to, and it is safe to travel if you wear masks and try to escape the crowd.
The places we visited are, Murou Art Forest, Namba, Tenma, Nara Park, Ukimidou Nara Park, Ninenzaka, Yasaka Pgoda, Gion, Kennninji Temple, and Kyotango.
