หลังจากที่ Lucasfilm ถูกทาง Disney ซื้อกิจการไปเมื่อปี 2012 ด้วยมูลค่าถึง 4 พันล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ แต่ 6 เดือนให้หลัง ทาง Disney กลับสั่งปิด LucasArts (หรือ Lucasfilm Games) ซึ่งเป็นฝ่ายพัฒนาและจัดจำหน่ายเกม และเซ็นสัญญาให้สิทธิ์ทาง EA เพื่อไปพัฒนาเกม Star Wars ในช่วงกลางปี 2013 แทน ซึ่งก็ดูเหมือนว่าความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง Disney และ EA อาจจะไม่สู้ดีเท่าไหร่นักจากที่หลายๆ คนคาดไว้
