In June 1994, a mile-long rainbow made its way through NYC to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.
第一張照片是我非常喜歡的歷史畫面，那是1994 年6月，一條長達一英里的彩虹旗幟穿梭在紐約市，來紀念1969年6月28日美國的「石牆暴動」（Stonewall riots）25週年。

「彩虹旗」是藝術家Gilbert Baker在1978年為了同志大遊行所設計，之後成為同志運動的經典符號。其中紅色代表「生命」、橙色代表「治癒」、 黃色代表「陽光」、綠色代表「自然」，還有象徵「和諧」的藍色與象徵「精神」的紫色，傳達「愛之前人人平等」、尊重多元以及每個人都有自由表達愛的權利。

1994年，Gilbert Baker被邀請製作全世界最大的彩虹旗幟，也就是一開始看到的歷史照片。2015年，MoMA 紐約現代藝術博物館將彩虹旗收藏為館內的設計系列，這是莫大的肯定，在設計的外表下，更重要的是它所代表的時代背景、人權抗爭與平權運動。

前兩天我參加同志活動的時候，在街上買了一條大面的彩虹旗，披在身上跟著人群走著。設計是一種語言、一種態度、一種時代的見證，就像這條彩虹旗一樣。

荷蘭風格派畫家蒙德里安（Piet Cornelies Mondrian，1872 -1944）向來以三原色、兩形狀與兩直線所構成的鮮明特色與沉穩風格為人所知。

不過他老人家在晚年卻活潑了起來，不信來看他生前完成的最後一幅作品-《百老匯爵士樂》（Broadway Boogie Woogie，1942-43）就知道。

說來都是因為他在1940年為了避開二次大戰烽火，移居紐約後，認識了爵士樂，跟著藝術圈好友混跡酒吧→這是我說的，以及大都會街道建築中的幾何平面、線條比例，而激發出如此具有創造力的風格。

你看這畫面，是不是正勾勒出紐約繁忙街景、爵士樂節奏感與熱鬧百老匯交織成的喧囂不夜城？

自從我們在紐約下榻的酒店轉靚左之後，而家紐約班已經成為golden flight，丫當年啲人唔係話flying time太長、食訓訓食太辛苦、沖杯麵沖到想死架咩？好掛住new york 啊🌝🌚

NYC呢個城市，真係令人又愛又恨。一方面繁華到靡爛既地步，一方面又勁多癡線佬；一方面節奏超光速，但喺全世界最租貴咁濟既Manhattan有個九龍咁大個central park，好啊尾成～雖然紐約物價好誇張，但係窮撚都好多玩法架！

1. Central Park
四季分明既NYC，每個季節都有唔同既景色，春天去睇櫻、夏天去攤張蓆曬太陽玩飛碟食雪條（D鬼妹會除衫架🌝）、秋天睇紅葉、冬天就去踏雪。帶張野餐墊hea下又一day。

2. National History Museum
有睇night at museum既黎到呢度超興奮！門口既恐龍骨、dum dum gum gum、印第安姐姐⋯嗚哇好興奮！而ANHM入場費係隨心架，窮撚福音！
( 朋友Update再update：仲係自由定價，USD$22係建議入場費，上次我比左USD$10🌝）

3. New York public library
相信大家都有睇過明日之後，呢度就係電影取景既地方，reading room超華麗，入去走個轉文都青啲丫。另外gift shop賣既postcard靚到冚家產，USD$1 唔寄買黎儲都抵。

4. museum of mordern arts
MOMA最出名既藏品係Andy Warhol 既Campbell soup，仲有monet既water lilies⋯好撚靚呀😭 而每個星期五下午四點後係免費入場架！雖然人就多啲，不過慳番廿雞夠食兩次shake shack將就下啦

5. Broadway show
喺times square打完咭，點可以唔睇番套broadway？咪話啊姐唔益你，平日weekdays 通常有兩點場，十一點左右去兜個轉，通常都有平飛賣架～phantom of opera、lion king、wicked、jersey boys⋯ 上次睇les miserable先USD$34，抵到仆街。
不過一睇就三粒鐘，下半場計番香港時間係凌晨五點⋯好眼訓呀😪

5. 行outlet
身為消費主義既頭目，美國outlet既拋售真係平得好誇張。我鍾意行jersey garden，因為佢喺new jersey入面，買野唔洗tax！試過買A&F副牌gilly hicks底衫USD$3，埋單再四折⋯於是我就買左個$1.2既bra，仲要好好著😂

6. Statue of Liberty
如果你未必要去到神像下邊近睇，其實美國政府係有free ferry比遊客遠眺女神架～（真係遠到得黃豆咁大粒架咋🌚）船叫做staten island ferry，搭metro去到站出黎就見到碼頭，半個鐘一班來回Manhattan同staten island，無野做遊下船河都OK架。

7. Coney Island
世界知名既Luna park就喺呢度！每年只營運4-10月，不過唔係叫大家黎玩機動遊戲，反而想分享下佢唔開嗰陣😂寧靜既沙灘、無人既過山車、維修緊既機動遊戲、廢棄遊樂場，好有feel der。不過嗰到除左車站附近之外係完全無野食，建議打定底先去。

8. 外賣丫唔該
上文提到，美國既餐廳坐底15%小費，想慳錢最快捷既方法就係外賣自取啦！例如lady M咁，我會去central park隔離the plaza個food court食，盛惠USD$8，如果去佢餐廳堂食就要十幾蚊先落到樓嚕。

9. Brooklyn bridge
Manhattan skyline 舉世聞名，我試過徒步橫過，真係幾靚架。不過建議大家風和日麗先好行，上次差啲吹到我甩撚左個頭🙄

I remember growing up watching Tim Burton's movies. From Batman to The Nightmare Before Christmas, I feel in love with his hauntingly beautiful characters. I know Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland comes out today, so I wanted to create a look inspired by his romantic, dark vision. Obviously this isn't something you would wear to school or work, (unless you work for Mr. Burton himself). BTW, If you are in NYC, GO GO GO TO THE MOMA to see his Exhibit, it's up there until April I think. AMAZING. But this look is beautiful without the crazy wig I had on.
