Ramadan Kareem！今天Ramadan齋戒月開始了！本來已經拍好斯里蘭卡的繪本，才發現應該要先介紹齋戒月的！！這本書並不是為了介紹齋戒月而買，而是我前陣子正在研究宗教類的相關繪本，找了好一陣子。基督教相關的非常多，但是伊斯蘭教的呢？感覺就還好耶！！ 而且找到的都是英文（廢話因為我也只懂英文）我是說原創就是英文，大多是移民或旅居在英美國家的穆斯林創作，比較少看到中東地區或是其他地區穆斯林的原創繪本。不過也很有可能因為都沒翻譯，所以找不到...
在開始介紹故事之前呢，先分享幾張最近看到的照片。這是我發漏的中東生活日記分享的照片，版主目前住在杜拜，我都很不要臉的拜託她幫拍杜拜圖書館的繪本。這三張都是最近跟齋戒月相關的照片，第一張是專為女性推出的 #馬卡龍色 齋月禮拜套裝產品，內附 #馬卡龍色可蘭經精裝本、跪拜墊與小枕頭、念珠一串。第二張是搭配可蘭經與拜墊的花藝禮品組，第三張是齋戒月冰箱。
好了進入繪本主體，這是一本結合穆斯林與「顏色」的繪本，你要說它是顏色認知書也OK。我很喜歡這本書的表現手法，文字簡單並押韻，用顏色帶出多彩的穆斯林文化，不做過多的渲染，緊扣主題。最後還有一頁生字解釋，畢竟滿多字不是一般人都知道，我也是一邊看一邊查。比較讓我意外的是，畫在手上的Henna，本來以為只有印度才有，沒想到其實是從埃及、北非到中東，然後流傳到了印度。所以來自不同地區的婦女也會在開齋節（Eid）或婚禮時畫在手上喔！

「金色是清真寺的圓頂，矗立於兩座叫拜樓之間，巨大又莊嚴。」

好啦就這樣，剩下自己看照片XD 沒有全拍完喔，還有媽媽藍色的hijab、爺爺白色的kufi，黃色的zakat（捐獻箱）。啊，值得一提的是fanoos，原意是指燈光或燈籠，現在多指齋月燈。書上的解釋說這些燈多半由錫和玻璃打造，在中東地區，小朋友會舉這些燈慶祝齋戒月（如封面）（齋戒冰箱上也有）（其實我之前追蹤的一個摩洛哥粉絲頁也有賣，差點就買下去）
坦白說之前在尋找宗教類繪本遇到很大的困境，就是圖都沒很好看...或是我不喜歡。這本書的畫風我也還好，但已經算是我看過裡面還不錯的了。所以先買一本來試水溫。繪者是旅居英國的伊朗籍畫家，也數度被提名格林威獎。同系列還有另一本形狀書 Crescent Moons and Pointed Minarets : A Muslim Book of Shapes。

Hari ni kitorang melawat Masjid terbesar di Asia Tenggara, dan ketiga terbesar di dunia selepas Masjidil Haram dan Masjid Nabawi, iaitu Masjid Istiqlal yang terletak di Jakarta. And it can accommodate up to 200k jemaahs at a time.

It took them 17 years to complete the masjid since 1961 and masjid ni di bina untuk memperingati kemerdekaan Indonesia daripada penjajahan Belanda selama lebih 300 tahun. Dan ‘Istiqlal’ sendiri bermaksud kemerdekaan.

Apa yang menariknya, masjid ni diapit oleh dua gereja dalam jauh beberapa ratus meter sahaja. In the second picture you can actually see the minarets of the church.
If you visit Jakarta, Masjid Istiqlal should definitely be in your must visit checklist!

The Grand Mosque was constructed between 1996 and 2007. It was designed by Syrian architect Yousef Abdelky. The building complex measures approximately 290 m (960 ft) by 420 m (1,380 ft), covering an area of more than 12 hectares (30 acres), excluding exterior landscaping and vehicle parking.
The project was launched by the late president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who wanted to establish a structure that would unite the cultural diversity of the Islamic world with the historical and modern values of architecture and art.
