SULTAN IBRAHIM BIAYAI KOS PERUBATAN REMAJA LELAKI MENGHIDAP KANSER TULANG
Beban kewangan yang dihadapi oleh sebuah keluarga bagi menanggung kos perubatan anak mereka yang disahkan menghidap kanser tulang sejak tahun lalu mendapat perhatian DYMM Sultan Johor.
Baginda Tuanku Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar berkenan membiayai kos perubatan remaja lelaki itu, Abdul Azim Mohd Rohazar, 14, yang menetap di Perumahan Awam Bukit Siput, Segamat bersama keluarganya.
Pada hari ini (2 Julai), DYMM Permaisuri Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah berkenan berangkat menziarahi Abdul Azim dan turut memberikan kata-kata semangat kepada remaja lelaki itu dan keluarganya.
Baginda turut menyampaikan sumbangan cek daripada DYMM Sultan Johor kepada ibu remaja itu, Junaidah Abdul Hamid, bagi pembiayaan kos rawatan serta perbelanjaan di Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) Kubang Kerian, Kelantan yang dijangka bermula minggu ini.
Junaidah merupakan seorang suri rumah, manakala ayah Abdul Azim, Mohd Rozahar Abd Latiff, merupakan pemandu lori dan pasangan itu turut mempunyai tiga lagi cahaya mata.
Hadir sama, isteri Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Johor, Datin Dr. Noor Azizah Abdul Latiff, Pegawai Daerah Segamat, Abdul Rahman Salleh dan isteri, Ramlah Yaacob.
Baginda Tuanku Permaisuri meluangkan masa hampir sejam sebelum berangkat pulang.
Abdul Azim merupakan pelajar Tingkatan 2 SMK Dato’ Bentara Dalam, Segamat dan tidak dapat hadir ke sekolah sejak Januari lalu atas nasihat doktor.

TUANKU SULTAN OFFERS TO SPONSOR COST OF TREATMENT FOR CANCER STRICKEN BOY IN SEGAMAT
HM The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, moved by the plight of a cancer-stricken boy in Segamat, has offered to sponsor the cost of his immediate treatment.
HM The Permaisuri of Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, visited 14-year-old Abdul Azim Mohd Rohazar, at his home in Perumahan Awam Bukit Siput, Segamat today (2nd July).
Her Majesty, who was alerted about the boy’s plight, spent nearly an hour talking to the lad and his family, encouraging him not to give up the fight against the dreaded disease.
Abdul Azim, who has three other siblings, is a Form Two student of SMK Dato’ Bentara Dalam in Segamat, has been unable to attend school since January because of his illness.
He is scheduled to go for further treatment at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan soon.
His father, Mohd Rozahar Abdul Latiff, is a lorry driver while his mother, Junaidah Abdul Hamid, is a housewife.
Earlier, Tuanku Permaisuri presented a cheque on behalf of Tuanku Sultan to Abdul Azim’s mother in aid of the boy’s immediate medical treatment.
Several other State agencies, religious institutions and NGOs have also come forward to help the family.
