คุยสายด้วยแล้วน้ำตาไหล..
เธอเป็นโรคแพ้ภูมิตัวเอง (SLE - โรคพุ่มพวง) อยู่ด้วย ไวรัสในตัวจึงเล่นงานเธอแสนสาหัส เธอไม่รู้รสชาติอาหาร ไม่ได้กลิ่น ไอจนกระดูกซี่โครงร้าว..!
หายใจเข้าออกแต่ละครั้ง เหมือนมีมีดเล่มเล็กๆแทงปอด..!
ไปหาหมอ 2 ครั้ง หมอก็ให้กลับมารักษาตัวเองที่บ้าน เหมือนหลายประเทศที่เราได้ข่าวมา
เธอต้องช่วยเหลือตัวเองลำพังที่บ้าน กลับเมืองไทยไม่ได้..ถามว่า ต้องการให้ช่วยอะไรบ้าง..อยากได้อะไรจากที่เมืองไทยมั๊ย..เธอบอก..
"คิดถึงทุกคนที่เมืองไทย..คิดถึงญาติพี่น้อง..คิดถึงเมืองไทยอันเป็นที่รัก..."
"ไม่ต้องการอะไร ไม่มีใครช่วยเธอได้ยามนี้ นอกจากช่วยเหลือตัวเอง.."
แล้วเธอก็ลุกขึ้นมานั่งสมาธิ แผ่เมตตา ให้เจ้ากรรมนายเวรทั้งหลาย ทั้งหมดทั้งสิ้น
ขอโปรดให้อภัยเธอ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคน หรือแม้แต่มดแมลงยุงตัวเล็กๆ ที่เธอเคยเข่นฆ่า..
เธอขอแผ่เมตตาให้ และจะทำบุญอุทิศส่วนกุศลในโอกาสต่อไป ถ้าเธอสามารถออกมาข้างนอกได้...
จะเชื่อหรือไม่ก็สุดแล้วแต่ เธอเริ่มตั้งจิตอธิษฐาน แผ่เมตตา..เมื่อวานนี้..วันนี้จมูกเธอเริ่มได้กลิ่น...
ผมกับคนที่เธอรู้จักในเมืองไทย ก็จะทำสมาธิ แผ่เมตตา พรุ่งนี้จะไปทำบุญใส่บาตร ยกส่วนบุญส่วนกุศล..ให้ข้ามน้ำข้ามทะเลไปให้เธอ
จะได้หรือไม่ ก็จะทำ..

Today, I heard the news that my close sister loves being overseas. Covid! Because she is so good in her mind, volunteer to take care of the elderly at the health center until she is infected..!!
Late talk and tears flow..
She has an allergic reaction to her self (SLE - Bush) with a virus in her body. She is tough. She doesn't know the taste of food. She doesn't smell. Coughing, coughing, broken ribs..!
Inhale each time like a small knife stabbing the lungs..!
Went to the doctor 2 times. The doctor has come back to treat myself at home like many countries that we have heard from.
She has to help herself alone. Can't go back to Thailand.. Ask me what I want you to help me.. Do you want something from Thailand.. She said..
′′ I miss everyone in Thailand.. I miss relatives.. I miss beloved Thailand..."
′′ I don't want anything. I can't help you now but help myself
Then she got up to meditate, spread kindness to all the karma's.
Please forgive her whether it's human or even the little mosquito bug she used to kill..
She spreads kindness and will make merit to the next opportunity if she can get outside...
Believe it or not, she started to pray, spread kindness yesterday.. today her nose started smelling...
I and someone she knows in Thailand. I will meditate. I will make merit tomorrow. I will make merit to make merit. I will give merit to you. I will cross the sea for you.
Will or won't..
She asked me to tell everyone not to underestimate your health and follow the ′′ strict ′′ way to do it for over a hundred. The better..
′′ Brother, think about it.. I'm coughing up your ribs...."

On 28th February, I probably had one of the hardest days of my life. I was told that our baby was screen positive in the NT scan. Our baby was in the high risk category for down syndrome. I wasn't told much but just that we would have to wait a whole week before we can see a doctor. On that day, I never knew I could cry out so many tears. I suddenly felt the overwhelming love for our baby. I think I realised how it really felt to be a mother. I realised that pregnancy/motherhood is not all rainbows and butterflies. I realised just how lucky I am to have such an amazing husband.
So in this Heart to Heart, I just share my experiences through the past few weeks. It's really tested our hearts and our patience. We held on to our faith and in the end, the Lord saw us through it all. I had never felt His presence like this before. Now I know how much love I have for our baby.
Now 3 weeks onwards with more test results. A rainbow has finally appeared after our storm. We were the 5% who were given with a false positive screening. Our baby went from having a 1/123 to 1/billion chance with Trisomy 21. Did our private doctor scam us into doing the expensive test? We'll never know and it doesn't matter. We're feeling so lucky and blessed right now.
We actually went for a baby check up today. Baby is super healthy and getting stronger by the day. Remember, most screen positive babies are born without down syndrome. Please mummies, don't worry yourself sick like I did. I hate myself for allowing myself to cry so so much... But I will spend the rest of my pregnancy smiling and laughing to make up to Peanut =) They say the mother can telepathically communicate with her baby. I really hope he/she knows how sorry I am.
I want to give a huge shout out to ALL the mothers out there. You are all amazing. I just feel so inspired by you guys out there. I have even more respect to the parents who are bringing up a child with down syndrome. You are absolutely amazing. It was reading your experiences that really helped us remember that no matter what happens, everything will be ok as long as the baby is born safely into the world. Every child is precious. Especially to their own parents. As Tim says, hey! It's just an extra chromosome!
I also want to say, reading your letters has helped me so much during our waiting period. I felt so much love. We receive an overwhelming amount of letters so I can't reply to most of you. However, I read EVERY single letter and I cherish each one. Thank you yet again for helping me pass through a difficult time once again.

If you're wondering why we still need to pray since God already knows us inside out, this one's for you!
The Bible says that prayer, or asking, is powerful. Many times we don’t have something simply because we didn’t ask for it (see James 4:1). And when we don’t have what we need or want, we can get frustrated and even try to get hold of it by our own means.
In the Bible, we see that David learnt it the hard way. While David used his own means—causing more harm to the people around him and himself—to get the things he wanted to satisfy his heart, he realized he could have just asked the Lord, and He would have given him much more (see 2 Sam. 12:7–8). Truly, God knows what we need, what we dream of, and most importantly, what is best for us.
Whatever you are seeking today, just come to the Lord and ask! Tell Him what you need or wish for because He is waiting and eager to hear. More than that, His blessings never run dry and He is willing and able to freely give them to you (see Rom. 8:32). All you need to do is ask.
