An open letter to all the Leaders of every government around the world

As a citizen of Myanmar, I would humbly and respectfully like to make this heartfelt request.

Every day, civilians who are younger than me are being killed mercilessly by the military forces who are now declared as terrorists by our Legal and Legitimate Acting Government of Myanmar, the CRPH.

While the children and young people in other peaceful countries can enjoy their rightful freedom, young people in my county don’t even have their basic Human Rights at the moment, and even worse, there is a chance for anyone of them of getting killed for fighting for what’s right. There is no Freedom of Expression. Needless to say, a lot of young people have been far away from school for over a month now. It is heartbreaking. It is unacceptable.

I sincerely make this request to all United Nations, please condemn this. Please take action in response to these tragic events. Please kindly request them to release my people immediately.

美國在台協會與刑事警察局昨天共同慶祝台灣打擊數位侵權成果豐碩。刑事警察局日前查封惡名昭彰的盜版網站楓林網，該網站侵權金額達數百萬美元。破獲楓林網之後，合法的影音購買及訂閱大幅上升。美國在台協會將持續支持刑事警察局、台灣智慧財產局、以及相關權利團體共同打擊盜版數位平台。尊重智慧財產權是奠定美台關係的#共享價值之一。

AIT joined the Criminal Investigation Bureau yesterday to mark the success in cracking down on digital piracy in Taiwan. CIB recently shut down the notorious infringing site 8maple.ru that was responsible for millions of dollars of infringement. After the crackdown, legitimate purchases and subscriptions to legal content has skyrocketed. AIT expressed support for CIB’s action and stood together with CIB, the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, and rights-holder groups to knock out digital piracy. Respect for intellectual property rights is one of the #sharedvalues that form the foundation of the U.S.-Taiwan relationship.
